Kompany injury

Should we be overly concerned that Vincent has flown home from the tour early due to a calf strain?

No. He's just the captain and I think it would be awesome to star the season with either kolo or savic offering cover or him. No worries.

Seems like he will get better treatment at base so makes sense and just a precaution no doubt

see Lavezzi thread I think....Doom and I were being referred to as Stan and Ollie

As a serious answer to your original point and reading between Mike's sarcastic response initially...of course we ought to be concerned overall

BUT

Kompany himself has tweeted that he came off as a precaution and that it was a slight twinge and nothing more

Makes total sense to send him home for proper rest and treatment now rather than have him take a 6 hour flight to KL and then another 14 hour flight home. I don't think he would have played or played much of tomorrow's match so no point him being there....in the same way it wasn't worth Dzeko travelling etc etc

I think if you're "overly" anything there is a good chance you shouldn't be.

I was sad I couldn't get my act together to see her on the Sunday after the rugby when I was in town last but fucl me I was slaughtered. Talking was difficult the next day. I dont think I've drank more in a 16 hour period in my life and I can honestly put some liquor away when required.
