Savic works directly with the team every day.

The end.

Daft argument, Platt is the boss's right hand man. Savic is a junior bit part player.

What's Kidd then?

I thought Platt was a senior coach and Brian Kidd was the right hand man. Maybe I got it backwards.

I thought Platt just did a few interviews and got paid a wedge for it?

Am I seeing things, or did Mancini put in the cushioned-volley cross as well? What a partnership!

It wasn't an argument. It was a fact.
What does David Platt do that would contribute to me changing my opinion of him?

If you honestly think that the assistant coach for the top Premier league team does fuck all besides the odd interview, it's pointless to argue with you. You are beyond hope. Have your head examined.

I think someone on here said recently they saw him in Alderley Edge; If I see the munich prick around here I'll tell him exactly how I feel about him and I'll be wearing my City shirt while I'm doing it.

Yeah, I was that someone. I was gutted I couldn't muster some more interesting questions to ask him. To be honest mate, if I'd have had my city shirt on, and walked up to him and called him a 'munich prick', followed by a load of abuse, well.......I seriously cannot think of anything more embarrassing to have done. Maybe ever, and I'vce done some seriously cringe inducing shit.

He seemed alright. Didn't have to talk to me, and was fairly candid, and personable. I didn't used to like him either, but he's part of a successful CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING team. Mancini trusts him. I trust Mancini. Are you maybe being a bit overly mental?

Not at all mate. I've got some mates who are pricks, but if I made it I'd take them with me without a doubt.

Maybe I was being a bit overzealous....maybe I wasn't.

I absolutely detest the potato headed whopper! And to have someone at our club, in the position he is in when he hates City (and there's no doubt from previous that he hates us) makes me sick.

If we signed Rooney and he went on to help us win the league most blues would still have a do at him if they saw him. Its no different. Let's not pretend it is.

Not trying to be all 'Yoda', but I think 'hate' might be a bit ott. Did he really hate us? He's said some pretty disparaging things - can't remember any of them, but I do remember being well pissed-off at some comments he's made while we were on TV in the past - anyone got any serious dung he's flung at us? LIke quotes, or footage? Is it just that he has a forehead as outrageous as Gervinho and used to play for United(sort of), and therefore didn;t really care for us much previously?

If we'd have signed the granny poking tuber, I wouldn't have had a go at him, but I wouldn't have made a scene if I saw him. I don't think. Ok maybe I would a bit. Look, the Rooney comparison isn't fair, Rooney is a stratospheric bell-end leagues above Platt.

I just think he seems to be doing good things for our club. Imagine if you see him in a couple of weeks or whatever, kick off at him royally, it gets in the papers, sours the relationship between the club and its supporters, get to the press, they have a field day at your (and our) expense, and it all makes us look like a bunch of dicks, and generally sows bad seeds in our rich and fertile soil.

If Platt you see; keep your own council you should.

Platt won me over with some of his passionate goal celebrations. He's definitely bought into our project.

I never know who's doing special comments on games anyway so I never had a beef with him in the first place.

Stick to your guns Mase. The pack smell blood and are coming for you.

I wish I had the same conviction about Tevez that i had last season. But that bloody hat trick at Norwich along with his golf swing celebration won me over. Plus he looks fitter than ever. I love him more now. I'm such a spineless bastard.

Stay true Mase, stay true.

I want to go on record as saying i was the first one who fell for Potato in his current incarnation...it's been over a year now at least since i big upped his post-match interviews, and his general attitude and tone. He's fucking loving this, and working hard and having fun. I don't see how someone can be bitter or angry about a guy doing that as a coach for City, who, btw, just...fucking won the league. And yes we all saw him celebrate like he'd just won a blowjob from Belladonna.

I'm at work so I assume this is the perfect place to ask "who is Belladonna?"

Just use your eyes numb nuts. Who does Mancini constantly turn to during matches? Platt is always by his side and the one he turns to constantly. He also is the one most often explaining the tactical changes to the subs just before they come on. It is clear he is a crucial and trusted part of the very successful football management team. If you are attacking him, you are also attacking Mancini...

Yes, but then I have no problem at all with people attacking Marwood! It was the ridicuous portrayals of doom that I found irksome.

To be honest, I see more of Kidd getting up during matches and going to talk to the players. Yes, Platt does the occasional half-time interview (it might be more than occasional but I'm usually at the match myself so wouldn't know).

Listen, I hate the guy. Nothing is going to change that in the near future. Just because people point out he does the occasional interview and gets off his arse now and then to break up a fight with Bob it isn't going to change my mind.

You are being a bit melodramatic here mate, I think Platt does his part but I don't think people are wrong to not like him, took me a LONG while to get past his bullshit about us when he was a pundit.
