cant see anyone playing who played yesterday, and ballotelli landed back yesterday so im thinking nasri milner hart lescott clichy etc wont play, so it wont be the best side weve put out. maybe a few bigger names might make the trip to wolfsburg, and a prety poor side v limerick, then its the charity shield on the 12th.

I think we will be looking at Dzeko, Balo, Silva, Hart, Lescott, and any other first team players who haven't travelled....plus a few EDS players.

Is this being streamed anywhere tonight?....or indeed on TV?
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

I'd be surprised if it was anything other than kids to be honest.

I can see where you're coming from but I don't think that is the case. many of those internationals who arrived late from their holidays don't have a single minute of football under their belts yet and the season begins in three weeks. I'm expecting a strong line-up but also lots of changes at HT

CITY SUBS: Lawlor, Kennedy, Leigh, Glendon, Huws, Drury, Rusnak, Hiwula, Bunn, Henshall

off topic, imo some of these lads should've been on the tour... instead of Mancini's kid and Scapuzzi

apart from the fact Oldham are 1 up it seems fans are enjoying it. here's some tweets about the game:

"4. Goal! Oldham 1-0 City. Robbie Simpson with a lovely finish."
"#mcfc 1-0 down, Robbie Simpson, Lescott & Hart caught cold "

"11. Corner to City. Nasri's cross is cleared but to Clichy. His cross lands to Jelavic... Must score! No! Wide. Great chance!"

"12. "Shall we show you how to score?" sing the Oldham fans. Good friendly atmosphere here tonight. On the pitch it's no friendly!"

"13. City fans respond with "three stands, you've only got three stands" which is applauded by the Oldham faithful."

"14. It's taken fourteen minutes but the first Dickov chant is heard and the former Blue applauds the City fans. City possession... "

1-0 to Oldham at HT.
our trialist missed a few chances according to twitter and we hit the post too. apparently lots of changes coming up if we're to believe Chris Bailey
"Half time 1 down but had chances to be level jelovic missed sitter, Milner shot well saved. All change at the break is my info #MCFC"

46. Back under way. 3-1-4-2 is the formation I'm going for. De Jong the 1. Clichy, Nasri, Milner and Facey the 4.
