Mario super quote from an interview with 20 Minutes (Spain): "Me playing for Barcelona? No, I don't play with girls."

There's a Guardian article saying Mancini should make Mario his main striker and play him down the middle, not out wide as he's hinted he intends doing.

How would you line up the new season?
I can't see a lineup that involves Teves, Aguero AND Mario, so who gets the short straw.
Funny how our 2nd top scorer doesn't even figure in my thinking, must be something wrong there.

Hart
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
Y Toure. De-Rossi
Balotelli Aguero. Tevez. Silva
Front four can be inter-changeable and pack an awesome threat. Scary really.
We need another creative midfielder to hang back and break play up also, that's why I put De-Rossi in. If we don't get another, we have a choice of De Jong, Milner, Barry, Nasri.

We had three strikers on the pitch a few times during the end of the season and it worked.
I'd like to see some more of it, if nasri or silva aren't performing then we could drop either knowing tevez spends 80% of a game in midfield anyway.

What worked better. Having three strikers on when we were desperate to chase a game(QPR), or removing a striker and pushing Yaya further up the pitch?

I would stick to what we know best and rotate the strikers as and when. Tevez and Aguero to start the big games, Balo for impact...

I agree but the big kid in me would love a game with all 4 on at once.

If he did say what's quoted in the first post, it's a odd and stupid thing to say.

Tevez has been dropping deeper pre season, like he does for Argentina, so it's not impossible we could see 3 strikers plus Tevez, depending on how well the defence has been playing & whether Silva needs a rest.
It's possible we could see a more creative, not quite so high scoring version of Tevez this season as he could play a different role in many games.

Christ, we're only talking three striker including Tevez and your adding in Dzeko?
I'd hate to be Zabs or Clichy if you were manager.

if he did in fact say that, I'm sure it's down to the fact that he was a trialist at Barca as a teen....and harbors something special he'd like to show them on the pitch for not having the faith to sign him. Only logical explanation.
Balogical, that is.
cheers
