Vlad finally gets permanent

City winger Vladimir Weiss has completed a transfer to Italian outfit Pescara.
The 22-year-old has joined the newly promoted Siere A side for an undisclosed fee.

The Slovakian international joined the Blues in 2008 and made his first team debut against Bolton Wonderers in the last game of the 2008-9 season.

In January 2010 Weiss joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season, although most of his time there was spent on the bench.

Next up for the winger was a move to Scotland where he joined Rangers on loan for the 2010-11 season and in doing so claimed an SPL winners medal.

The Slovak had a successful season at Spanish side Espanyol last year and will most likely be remembered for scoring a spectacular goal from outside the penalty area during a 3-3 draw away at Athletic Bilbao.

The club wishes Vladimir every success at his new club and in his future career.

I think this is for the better. He didn't deliver at Bolton, Rangers and Espanyol so it would had been a small chance to do it now.

If i remember, last year we refused 4 mil from Kiev or Weiss refused, something like that.

Never seemed to reach the potential we all thought he had after the youth cup final, shame because I thought he was going to be a really exciting player for us.
Good luck though Vlad.

Whilst he was at Rangers he told his Twitter followers that he was 'Rangers Forever' on a very regular basis.

It would seem that 'forever' doesn't include when they are in the shit and really could do with his help.

In "Weiss next season" thread:

I wonder how much we got for him, a couple of mil at most I reckon as he was in his last year of contract.

Good to see that your university degree in archaeology finally paid off. Quite a gem you unearthed there.
