There were so many Courtney decisions but I'm presuming you mean the one where he gave them 2 pens from 50 yards away & failed to send off Burrows for a blatant red card offence after sending off a player midweek for a lesser version of the exact same offence ?

There were scousers sat behind me in the North Stand one of whom actually said " I can't fucking believe this !", as a distant Courtney began his long jog toward the penalty area, finger of doom pointed at the spot.

I've also never seen a ref stare at the crowd defiantly like that as they booed him, before giving yet another horribly bent decision as if to say " have that y cunts, that's what i can do ". Totally corrupt.

That was exactly the one I was thinking of Ted - fucking shameful.

That time added one was a real travesty.The reasons given to justify it have been proven bogus time and time again since that game.

One good thing about it. Winning the QPR game/premiership in fergie time was soooooooo much sweeter.

The Barton incident was (I think from memory) 3 mins and 50 secs and if there is an allowance of 30 secs for each sub - and there were (again from memory) max use of subs, then.................. why was it only 5 mins??

I guess others have already listed twattenburgs cheating on the Silva non-penalty at Chelsea - that brought an end to our good run and he seemed desperate to fuck us over

Most of the worst, most crucial decisions we've ever had, in all the years I've been watching City, have been against Liverpool. Why some people like them, I have no idea. They have been the most cheating, ref influencing, stuffy fucking team on the planet & are just the rags with another name. Look at this season with the pen against Richards,(& the behaviour of Suarez against us). Only two clubs over here would ever get that decision & out of those two, the one most likely isn't the rags.

We've been conned by them at every stage of our modern history & it's still happening today.

We've lost games when they've scored 4 but it was an even game at 0-0 & their 1st was a total fucking con job. Then the media reaction was always, "oh well, Liverpool would have won anyway". I've seen Ian Rush punch a fucking equaliser in with his fist, then hear the stat about us failing to win at Anfield yet again.

I remember when they changed the law on offside, to play on if a player wasn't trying to seek an advantage.

Same again, turns toward ball, flag goes up, screams from scousers, no problem. Same again, no problem apart from screaming scousers. This time, Barnes 15 yards offside, decides 'what the fuck I'll try it one more time', turns round and takes the ball towards our goal: NO FUCKING FLAG! Panic, desperate save, arm waving, fans shouting at ref, nobody fucking cares, it's Anfield.

Gary Flitcroft hatrick at Anfield ? All perfectly good goals ? Think they let us have one & wiped the other two.

That definitely was a deserved red card. Barton first was booked for stamping (lucky that wasn't a red), then proceeded to call the ref a 'fucking knob' repeatedly straight after the first booking and then continued at half time.

Ok, the ref was Rob Styles and so there was some truth to Barton's comments, but even the most biased City fan cannot say that was a ridiculous red card.

Actually it might have been. it was when we were playing under Joe royle and the likes of Pollock and goater were playing so it couldn't have been Barton.

I just remembered that barton got sent off at half time and presumed it was that him! Still don't agree that you should be booked for trying to talk to the ref. Scum and chelsea players used to continually call the ref a cunt and got away with it.

Mark Halsey not giving Gillingham a penalty in extra time at Wembley when it was 2-2, their winger cut the ball back into the area and a City defender - Edghill? - handled it as he slid in.

We should have had a penalty for hand ball right at the start of the game though, so i guess that evened itself out. I thought we were lucky to get the five mins injury time too.

In the 70's and 80's any appeal from the Kop resulted in a penalty award at that end of the ground. Bloody hate that craphole of a stadium.

Shocker right now in Canada v USA women's semi-final. Canada deservedly 3-2 up and ref gave a free kick on the 8 yard line for alleged time-wasting by the Canadian goalkeeper, then a penalty when the kick hit a Canadian player on the arm, ball to hand.

Non-City, Graham Arsehole Poll booking a player twice in a World Cup was match funny. He totally lost the game, clown act that he was.

As already mentioned, the Michael Frontzeck penalty was an unspeakable bit of cheating.

More non-City, I was at the infamous Coventry City v Crystal Palace match when a Clive Allen free-kick went in, only for the ref not to allow it as he thought it hit the post. I was sat at the opposite end of the ground and it was as clear as anything that it was a goal. Might have been Clive Thomas. That would have out Palace 2-1 up. They lost 3-2.
