First signing this summer

Sinclair has only been at two clubs I think ... granted he's been on loan a few times whilst at Chelsea but no different to what we've done with a few of late. I think buying players we can mould and bring on is better at the stage we are now. Getting anymore seasoned pros will just cause problems for us now imo

Agreed. The one thing I like about him is that he has pace which we horribly lack and he has some tricks. He might actually be capable of learning a bit more than certain other wingers we have had on the books (and I don't mean AJ)

As someone else said above, if we get him and Agger and could get De Rossi, close the Biton deal and bring in that Balkan lad who's been on trial also then I think that will be a good window.

Aside from RvP I really don't think we are interested in someone who absolutely HAS to play a lot of the first team every week at the expense of the current nailed on starters

I love swp but my god I don't remember a player losing it so quickly as he did. Never scores or beats his man anymore.

Yeah true, maybe i'm being sentimental lol. But Sinclair FFS, would have preferred Junior Hoilett or Stephane Sessegnon to Sinclair.

Hoilett would of been a better option if thats what we were looking for. Sinclair has had so many clubs and only settled at one. He's like a poor jermaine pennant, surely with our worldwide scouts we could of found someone better outside of england? I dont know about this one at all if its true, i'll trust mancini though.

He's had so many clubs?

He has had a few clubs but only because he was farmed out by Chelsea. He was with them for quite a while before moving to Swansea when he was 21. He's only 23 now, played at every international youthe level and is English.

The price (and wages) we are talking wouldn't hurt the bank balance too much and he's an option out wide.

I wouldn't mind seeing him Blue.

yeah all the loan deals and he didnt shine in any of them, he was shite with wigan a couple of years ago. He wasnt even that great last season with Swansea in my opinion. 23 and he has had one good season in the championship and a slightly above average one in the prem, no not for me at all.I just think we are better than him, his bird is in Corrie as far as i know, prob why he wants to move to Manchester.

He was linked to liverpool recently and i laughed my head off and slated my scouse mates over signing him.
derby day the scores were level,

the Balkan lad as in Mario Jelavic? I don't think i've seen anyone think he's been worth signing, but i 100% agree on Biton. I have a feeling he'll be loaned out to some EU club with lax work permit rules first though - seems like we've been trying to get this lad a permit forever.

The boy from the UAE olympic side (and Al Ain) Omar is supposed to be flying into Manchester to start a trial today - he's only 20. I'll be interested to see how he does.

Liverpool can't buy off Swansea for one year, that was the condition with Brandon Rodgers going to them ... unless of course we are buying him and then selling him on in the Agger deal :p

Updates: Daily Mirror is now reporting that Scott Sinclair and his agent have travelled to Manchester to sort personal terms after the clubs have agreed the £8million deal ... but at the same time Sky Sports News is reporting that any proposed Scott Sinclair move won't happen today as City have no one around to finalise a deal?

Yeah that's him. He didn't look great in Austria but he's well rated in general from what I've read here and elsewhere maybe worth a risk

Marwood so knackered from his busy summer activity that he's off on hols to Tenerife most likely.

Liverpool can attempt to sign him if they agree to sell to another club it means the clause is dead... apparently

Fair points mate but for me he is much more than when he was out on loan. I seen him play a game for Chelsea a quite a few years back and thought he was going to be a real talent in the game. I didn't see much more of him though and only realised who he was again when he scored for Swansea in the Play-off Final, that's when it clicked with me that it was the same person.

He played a fundamental role in getting Swansea promoted with good football and was pivotal to Swansea's more than respectable 11th position, beating us on the way (remember Joe saving his penalty).

What I like about him is that he is good technically, can cross a ball, isn't afraid to take players on, can stick it in the back of the net and most importanty, not afraid to track-back ;).

And to be fair, he wouldn't be brought in to go straight into the 1st team, he would be one we can nurture but already fits our style of football. I think he can become a very good footballer and would be more than happy if we brought him in.

Sinclair would be a decent signing and I think if where going to challenge for title , champs league, fa cup etc then we need players like him, agger and de Rossi and promote some youth..... I hope we sign biton because he has looked quality and will only improve

According to The Mirror he's dating a Coronation Street actress. City would be handy for him, then.

Give over. If you don't want him at City, fine, but he was nothing short of excellent last season.

He was pretty good, but I worry that when he played for swansea he was the focus of their attacks and how he'll affect the game when he isn't. Aside from that, if he is happy to fill AJ's boots without moaning and carrying on like a pork chop, then I am happy with the transfer.
