Has Joe become our Number 1

Postby Patrick » Wed Aug 08, 2012 11:13 am

I was just looking at buying a keeper shirt and they have him as number 1 this season...

I bet this was announced on here a year ago - but is it true?

it was in a web site article not long ago, but no squad numers for this season have yet been confirmed. They really should do this before launching kits, Joe is not the only one changing

Were players wearing their new, old, or just whatever numbers they felt like during the pre-season friendlies?

Joe's apologised to anyone that's got 25 on the back of their shirt.

Apparently he decided to change to number 1 at the end of last season, which makes holding on until we'll have sold a fair few '25' shirts seem a bit of a twattish thing to do.

Has this happened to anyone? I'd like to think the club would have at least made it's shop staff aware.

A few years ago when Nicklas Bendtner changed from 26 to 52 at Arsenal, he paid for anyone who bought his 26 shirt a new one. Hart should do the same, though I'd say he's sold a fair few more than Bendtner.

Why should Hart pay? He's told the club at the end of last season he wanted to change. It's nothing to do with him if the mephs running the shop don't either don't get the message or don't filter it down.

Does it really fucking matter if you have Hart 25 on the back of your shirt and he doesn't? FFS grow the fuck up.

Personally I wouldn't get anyone on the back of my shirt.

But for kids and their parents who have paid a fair wedge for a completely avoidable misprint of shirt number - it might matter, yes.

Hope swapping to number 1 is a tad luckier than last time he did it.

Der? If I wanted to spend 80 yoyos on a replica shirt - yes I would be pretty pissed off that actually it wasnt a replica shirt!

Luckily I never have names on shirts - but I dont condemn those who do

I was wondering when Nasri would switch back to 8 with SWP gone...

Personally I don't buy shirts for myself and just get the shirts without any names for my lad. I see it as a team game, not an individual one, if you like.

What that's got to do with the thread, fuck knows!
