How incredibly underwhelming this would be if it were remotely true. 15-20 million for an injured player who isn't a guaranteed first choice at Everton. No thanks.

Don't know what to say to this. I think he was third on the list of a midfielder that Mancio wanted, after De Rossi and Javi Martinez and this is starting to look really weird for us.

We missed our last three big transfer targets (Sneijder, Hazard, RVP) so maybe Bobby has a point.

Stuart Brennan (MEN) also tweeted that he's heard from club it's done between clubs but I guess personal terms etc still need to be sorted?

It's genuine.

It's on the Everton OS.

Well bugger me. Some people had him down as the next Paul Lake, wheras I had him down as the next Carlton Palmer, so perhaps with Bob's coaching, he can be somewhere inbetween ? Very very highly rated in the game though.

This is quota stuff imo.

Just to add: Ferguson has been sniffing round him for fucking years! Hehe.

Still another summer without de Rossi for Bobby.

This week will bring Agger too and that might be it for this transfer window.

That twat at Roma is taking the fucking piss about DeRossi, saying he'd let him go if he wanted to leave then next day claiming it would be £100 mil.

I still think RVP is possible. Arsenal are behaving strangely. They may want to wait & trouser the fee as the window closes, so they don't have to spend it.

The RVP link is a definate no-go in my opinion. There was talk that he'd already signed for the Rags but I can't see them paying the supposed 25 mil asking price and 200 thousand a week.

Isn't he supposed to be playing for Arsenal today in a friendly? If he does then I can see him staying put.

Nasri & Milner both played for their old clubs before we signed them.

I think De Rossi has a clause in his contract that states he can leave for an amount of money, but sure it won't be 100 mil.

I would had him instead of Rodwell. I really hope de Rossi isn't the replacement in the case that Yaya will eventually leave.

City want to acquire young British talent in order to fit in with Premier League regulations about homegrown players.

Mancini is interested in Swansea winger Scott Sinclair for the same reasons.

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... z23KdOzqer

So we're signing him so he can fit in our homegrown players and that's reason behind going after him?!!!

Ridiculous. No mention at all of him being a highly rated midfielder..
