I must say we did have two sides of the ground and a quarter of another. So if our allocation was 13,800 then the Holte End must hold 30,000

I believe the crowd was announced at 36,000 (tannoy was broke in our end). there were loads of blocks of empty seats in the Chelsea end but someone said that there was really bad traffic to the game so maybe people turned back?

Was gonna ask the same.

I had a pretty good view of the aftermath. A load of stewards restrained one guy, and the zippy fella was either crouching, sitting or lying on the floor, as he only emerged above the hoardings (headless), once the police arrived. Both of them were taken away. My guess is some kind of fight, but I don't know who instigated it, or what exactly happened.

Only saw the latter part of what occurred as the two of them, Zippy and another guy, were being led away. Zippy lunged and tried to throw several punches at the other guy and about 6 stewards decked the former Rainbow star and restrained him. They were then both led away. Zippy sans his mask but with his gloves and suit still intact.

Six stewards just to restrain Zippy ? Amateurs. Geoffrey just used to pull his zip over & that was that. It's a fucking good job George & Bungle didn't kick off as well.

Imagine the cufuffle if Rod, Jane and Freddy had turned up as well. Carnage. The whole incident did provide much amusement to the North Stand lower and Trity Road lower parts of the ground.

Playing Savic instead of Kolo was bad management imo , Kolo is average to shite , Savic is below average to runnny shite.

I still cannot fathom out what Mancini sees in him and I hope this has no negative impact on YAYA, who only came here because his brother played here - thats a fact.

I think this is a sound perspective/post. I'm lost re Savic's match performances as during the warm-up he looks relaxed, two footed, agile and can ping a pass around as good if not better than Vinnie. Yet in a match, he looks shit scared and as if he's wearing lead boots, socks and Yfronts. Maybe he's got what I call Edghill syndrome where the talent and confidence is displayed Monday - Friday only it to disappear completely at the weekend. Mancini may see much more potential than we ever will while the syndrome persists.

Doug, how good, bad or average does Savic look in training?
lets wish for good days but not forget the bad days

This.

I think he's pissed at Nasri to tell you the truth. He seemed to avoid being mobbed but shoved Nasri away and Sammi even went up to Yaya after and grabbed his arm to talk to him. Then when Nasri scored the last one to congratulate him was Yaya(Even Kompany got there before him) and he just gave his hair a bit of a tussle and walked off.

However the most angry man there was Dzeko, he didn't shake David Bernstein's hand just walked off with his medal, when they were jumping up and down with the shield he just sort of put an arm in the air then looked for a way out. If he's a City player come september I would be very surprised.

Match was on the 23rd day of Ramadan and in a country where the sun doesn't set until 9pm at this time of year. Is it a coincidence that the three players in a bad mood were Yaya, Kolo and Edin? They were probably just hungry...

He has been quoted as saying Kolo being here was a big influence on his decision......11 million was not the deciding factor.

I was thinking the same thing.

Yaya started the season rather slowly by his standardsand I think it may have been down to that.

When you think of all the sports science that goes into preparing the players before games these days. Not being carbed up a few hours before the game and at half time must have an effect on him.
