Rodwell

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I have read some shite on here but this debate well and truly takes the biscuit. There are posters on here that I have a long time love and respect for that have moved the debate from the ridiculous to the brain dead level.
The more I read, the angrier I get at the stupidity posted. Once the lynch mob is up and running, it creates its own fuel to increase its own momentum. The final straw in this insanity is the assertion that "Even I could have landed that deal"

NO YOU FUCKING COULDN'T, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN GOT IN THE ROOM.

That said....I see no point in continuing to argue the toss, my time could be better used combing my teeth. I surrender to the lunatics...the asylum is all yours.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

no no no...your take is dead wrong mate. Listen to the lads words.

"It started a few weeks ago, but just got hot in the last couple days..." (that's a paraphrase, but it's to the point)

last couple days would have been when exactly? Best case thursday, most likely Friday/Saturday....

capisce?

If Bobby wanted Jack Rodwell as a primary target he'd have been here weeks and weeks ago.

You reckon? ... Nah I think it is quite possible we were trying to speak about him months ago but they refused permission then it dawned on them that they needed to deal now to get some cash in or sell some more established players. I'm merely guessing of course, as is everyone else on this thread.

We're talking David Moyes here & suddenly, contrary to all previous evidence, he's dead easy to deal with ?

Where the fuck did that idea suddenly spring from ?

And how do you know what Marwood was doing two weeks ago ? He's been sighted in Spain, Italy, all over the shop. He may not even be involved in this deal. He may have been flogging a dead horse trying to get DeRossi to move out of Rome when he's in the middle of a custody battle with his Mrs, or trying to persuade Martinez not to hang on for a move to Barca, or signing a 17 year old winger from Lazio. Or interviewing coaches for the academy, or talking to the agents of several other 20 year old midfielders whilst awaiting for a decision from Bob on which one he preferred.

See it's dead easy just to make up a scenario.

People are just making stuff up on a daily basis & presenting it as fact.

I must apologize with Doomie. I am quite busy at the office, enraged to read my favourite, reverred posters denying the truth and laying at it, snubbing persons who have long covated the pleasere of offer them a drink.

Because of that, dear Mike, i read your post in a rush and I didn't realize the sarcasm underneath.

I beg Your pardon, my yankee friend.

now I gladly accept the suggestion of many and leave the embarrassment for a while.

still would love to spend some times with some peolple who I still rate, nonetheless, despite they are showing to be snob.

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

This thread is quite possibly the most bizarre one in years...

Poor Rodwell, he signs and barely gets a mention... in his own thread..

Bizarre.

Great signing. Young, talented, physical player. Marked Silva out of the game last year. Only 21. Has a level head and sounds willing to work to become a part of the team.

Welcome Jack and fuck off all you moaners.

We don't want a Real Madrid all star 11. Winning isn't about just assembling the best 24 players in the world. Its about assembling the best 24 players who FIT TOGETHER and can work relentlessly in a established system towards a common goal. Rodwell fits the bill perfectly. Some of you seem to have the emotional maturity of an infant. Grow up or shut up

(oh and incase you didn't notice, we just played the european champions out of the park yesterday while missing quite a few of our key players...)

Am I the only person who has no opinion whatsoever on Brian Marwood?

At the beginning of the close season I said I'd be happy if we made no new signings. There was no need to overhaul or even refurbish a young team that was continuing to improve.

Now I'm even happier because we've made a signing that makes perfect sense. Young, talented, intelligent, eager, English and versatile. He can cover either the Barry or the Yaya roles from what I've witnessed myself and purportedly has more strings to his bow (e.g. CB) which we're yet to see.

I'm excited by this signing. Stop ruining my good mood with a load of strange whining, the majority of which I can't even decipher.

Great post. Here here!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Just thinking about it, we are starting to have quite a physical/tough as steel team:

Kompany
Richards
Zaba
Tevez
De Jong
Milner
Yaya
Aguero
Rodwell

All willing to give 100% effort and can out work/muscle the vast majority of their opponents. Very good sign

Actually, I don't have an opinion on Brian Marwood either.

If I ever find out for sure that he's doing something wrong, I'll be demanding his head on a platter. The fact is that there is no reason whatsoever for anyone to have a strong opinion on Brian Marwood unless they know the details of what he's done, good or bad.

@ Mods.
I am genuinely trying my very best to stay away of this Marwood argument since I promised it yesterday.
Unfortunatelly, since that promise, I continue to read posts of people who have serious issue to face the factual reality and/or try to cover their lack of arguments with snobbery.

Now I must even see the ABOVE INFLAMATORY and PROVOCATIVE POST.
I seem to remember that once there was a report button, but now I can see it.

therefore I am formally reporting the post above as deemed to create inimity and ignite the feud, without adding anything factual to the debate.
scrolling up the cronology of the thread You shall find plenty of evidece of the fact that only point that I made throught the whole thread is the quality of the man paid by the Club with the responsability of Sporting Director.
I can have possibly stated that I quite like Rodwell as player, while I certainly used the signing of him as further evidence that the inability of the sporting director to sign any player was not due to the fact that he was upon instuction to save money.

I fully expect respect for my opinion and active moderation, in order to avoid futher polemics.

thanks for attention, assistance and prompt action
