If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have had the time to leg it back from Piccadilly, argue with the police, and then climb back in to the ground and getting back to my seat just as the legends were bringing the trophy out.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!
So you left the ground when we were losing? ... for shame
Yes mate.
I left the ground as soon as QPR put that second in. Stormed out like a little baby....from what my brother tells me. I was absolutely smashed. I had been drinking from 11am and for some reason, with 25 minutes still to go I stumbled off. In my end I was sure it was right near the end of the game and we were done for.
As I say, thankfully I managed to climb back in while some meat head had 2-3 stewards dealing with him. And again, thankfully people ran on the pitch kissing Kompany.
I'd say I'm never going to leave early again but for these big important matches the only thing I can do to calm my nerves is to get smashed.
It's a great story to talk about though mate. All's I had was watching us come back from the precipice with hundreds of Blues diving and crying all over me.
Bastards ;-)
I had the experience of walking back to Piccadilly amongst some City fans then ended up on my own for the last part. Was talking to my mate on the phone, "16 years they've had money off me for a season ticket! 16 seasons in a row!!! Well not anymore! I'm done!" then he started screaming (He's a Blackburn fan) that Aguero had done it!!
As I was running back to the stadium I saw a group of City fans over the other side of the road looking down. I assume that they hadn't heard so I shouted "WE'VE DONE IT!!!"
Because I wasn't in City colour I assume they thought I was a rag and started tell me to piss off/fuck off you prick etc.
I wasn't hanging around though :)
