Some slap in the face for Arsenal fans for him to join United.Very weak from Arsenals point of view to sell the club captain to United.

He would be like a new Berbatov for them, and he only has one leg !
I put my faith in Aguero, Tevez and Ballo.

Why the fuck do united fans think they can win the league just cause they got RVP, arsenal haven't won it yet and they've had him years.

Can't see this helping the rags too much. Arsenal will be a weaker team next season though

More from twitter.

thrilled at the RVP signing. He's young, rarely in the treatment room, and has 220000 reasons per week to show he didn't sign for the £.

1. I never wanted RVP and always said he is a tosser.
2. Kompany will take care of him as he did last season.
3. This could give Nasri a break from some abuse as more will be thrown at RVP now from arse fans.
4. Lets hope his injury record lives up to it's name and scum are left with no money and a useless player.

Actually that's a good point about Nasri getting a break.

It only takes a goal to win a game and we can score more than enough goals to win us the league, even if RVP scored another 30+ that doesn't mean they will win any more games.Their goal difference would just improve, but it's not like any team has ever taken the title on goal difference is it? ;-) but I swear you will never see anything like that ever again!!!

It is widely believed we pulled out of the deal when RVP dropped the bombshell that he wanted a four year deal at 220k. City rightly saw at 29 years old and injury prone, this was a huge risk, especially when high earners like Ade still refuse to move on.

So in the end United were the only club willing to pay up. This said RVP is a top player and will do well at the scum, they just have to prey he stays fit and age doesn't see him dip in form.

The deal represents a massive risk to them imo but fair play if they want to gamble. I'm just delighted that City didn't.

Yeah me to, he was a gooner for 8 years and had 1 good season , we have a stronger team than anyone!

I'm glad I don't have to see his name in the same sentence as MCFC anymore, I never wanted him at city.
We all know he is a good player and yes, he will strengthen the scum, but I still believe we are stronger as it was their ageing defence and midfield that let them down last season not the attackers.
All in all, fuck-em. We were better, we are better and we will stay better, RVP or no RVP.

while i didnt want him to sign for us as he wouldnt have strengthed us he has certainly strengthed our biggest rivals.
71 goals betweeen him and rooney last year makes them very dangerous

Did you see Rooney play last season? He was fucking gash from December onwards. Every level headed rag i have spoken to from about january onwards has said they hope it is his last season and they need to cash in on him. Scored 9 penalties though because he is world class.

As for Van persie he has never looked like he did last season and he will never score 30+ goals again. He has a new team around him that will take him a while to settle into and he is shit when it is not all set up for him (see euro 2012) aren't set up specifically to provide for him and we all know the rags medical team is shit (see Ferdinand, vidic, Owen, young, Hargreaves, cleverly).

To the tune of re-e-wind-Craig David.

Good signing for the Scum, but only because they have been a Rooney injury away from being a Europa League side.
So Rooney and RVP. Which one will Baconface play against us? He's certainly doesn't have the balls to play both.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

I pray that he's on a 4 year deal at £220,000 a week cos that will be a noose round their neck in 2 years time!

I hope this lights a fire under Dzeko anyway, I like him, but he needs to step up today!

Twenty Four million, and what per week!

Now, that's a lot of dosh, even for the Rags. Usually, they'll pay a large sum but not a large wage but something tells me this could be well up there with the top earners.

Will he be worth it, we can only wait and see but one thing for sure is that it'll make this season a very interesting one.

This is why the PL is better than any other, it goes from strength-to-strength and never relinquishes. Does Scudamore knoow something that we don't ;-)

I'm not saying anything to my rag mates about this. Just going to point out how City were ruining football paying £20+ million for Nasri when he was in his last year of his contract....
