And why Yaya won't be missing this year? Has he announced retirement from internationals??

I thought the Africa Cup of nations was every two years not every year?

I thought so too but apparently they're staging another one this year (January next to be exact) to switch the years into odd years from even so not to have it in the same year with FIFA World Cups or UEFA Euros etc. ... So, unfortunately yes we'll be losing both Toure brothers this season again unless someone talks Yaya into announcing retirement (or temporary suspension) from international duty ...

I read somewhere that Yaya is considering that ... but I guess he'll wait and see till Xmas how and where we stand and then decide on this ... He has stated in the past that he'd like to win this with the national side and came pretty close last time around too ...

He's a hero back home though, to a lot of people without much else to cheer about so I can understand why he has a lot of wrestling with his conscience to do first.

Someone on this board claimed earlier this summer that success only breeds complacency. Sure enough we're sat fucking 7th in the pre-season league table.

The twat should have been handed his P45 the moment he stepped off the open-top bus in May.

Never mind sarcastic answers, the impatience in the question is just daft. He's got all season and the one after, at least.

I think the main challenge Mancini will face this season is how to keep up the morale of the players.

Bobby, that is just not true. If we are 6th at Xmas there will be someone on here calling for his head. it is totally naive to think otherwise.

I echo this - it is getting more like a BM zoo on here - I imagine some posters count starting threads as some real achievement - sad fuckers

I've just watched us piss all over Arsenal and Chelsea without breaking into a sweat, with half our players missing, and then you get threads like this.

Fuck me if we aren´t top it´s because we have had umpteen games with 75% possession, 48 chances with those useless buggers Tevez, Agüero, Ballotelli and Dzeko not scoring, whilst the other side gets a lucky last-minute winner. Every week.

God give me strength.

Why sack Mancini now when he's just starting to put HIS team together? Just to start from scratch again, also who are you realistically going to get in?

Oi. Get on the the baseball site. You can drive yourself now......! I'll be in my same seat Sunday if you fancy a chat before the game or half-time, Steve.

If he starts with Savic, expect Khaldoons red phone to be ringing 50 mins before kick off.

Platt can caretake all season.

What a fucking wank thread.

I think I should have missed something - before.... ;)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
