I think he will look good today with all the quality around him and talking to him.
Best of luck Jack.
Come on city.
Who's on the bench?

i'm excited for the kid....i'm anxious to see how he looks with our team around him. This should be fun.

cheers

Nige is on the bench. Milner too.

hardly seems like we need to sign anyone then, does it?

The fact Savic keeps getting the nod ahead of Kolo makes me fairly certain Kolo is on his way.

Surprised to see Rodwell there.. And I also thought Silva would start from the bench.
But good lineup and no Savic.
Hope Vinnie is 100% fit

Maybe Rodders is a surprise but when Mancini wants to put out his best side it's always likley to include Yaya,Silva,Nasri,Tevez and Aguero so that only leaves one holding midfield place.Where better to give him a debut than at home v Soton.

The 4 at the back the same with Zaba,Vinnie,Lescott and Clichy

cuncur on Silva and hopes for Vinnie, we don't need to lose him at Anfield.
as expected , comes the League, we are back on 4-2-3-1.
would have had our Suarez Lad on the bench, particularly considering that Dave has hardly 90 mins on the bag.
I am certainly on the next Carl's thread if Bob should ever start Savic in more than 3 official games all season long (exemption to be deducted on League cup, only!)

Looking at the buildup and Adkins' interview they don't seem to expect to be doing much attacking. Their top scorer Lambert is on the bench.

Adkin's quite impressive in his interview there.

From Saintsweb, apparently Lambert hasn't had much of a pre-season, so Rodriguez and Guly in.

10 minutes until the season starts proper.

I'm a bit surprised that Milner is left out. I thought he was great in the CS and had expected us to stick to the 3-5-2.

I thought he might have squeezed Milner in somehow too - maybe we have an option to change tactics if we need to though.
