Start as we finished! My nerves or heart can't take this let alone my mental health!

Some lessons learned today I hope. Some spectacular attacking and bad luck finishing but some silly mistakes that could have really cost us!

Onwards and onwards!

Hart's kicking was frustrating there.

Southampton played fantastically, we were incredibly and infuriatingly wasteful.

If we hadn't been a bunch of rusty ne'er do wells we'd have won it 7-2.

Glad we got that over and done with.
Bob is going to put them through their paces on Monday. I'm already nervous for them.
A few need to wake up and get their head back on it. Silva?! Enough said about him. Dzeko - apart from your goal celebration your facial expression or lack of it seemed you didn't give a shit. Rodwell will learn the systems and the more he plays the more confident he will become. Give the lad time, although, no more giving the ball away son.

Correct but I do think we seemed to be lacking some fitness byt the end.We could/should have been 3 or 4 up when they equalised and from that point we lost our control. Great credit though to come back from 2.1 down though.

The defence were not good at all and just for Carl it wasnt all about Lescott being crap either.Silva not at the races and bearing in mind Milner has been looking great that did seem a strange decision.

But it's 3pts and that's the main thing.

Silvas was obviously shite today but Lescott did not do his job at all , he was fuckign abysmal...watch the highlights again and see how Lescott tried to deal with those lead ups to the goals.
WANK he was.

I think the biggest lesson learned should be for Mancini himself. If you are going to faff about with a formation in pre-season you'd better have EVERY FUCKING INTENTION of using it during the season.

Rodwelll got moved about too much and needs to trust that Yaya knows what the fuck he's doing and not rush over to help him every time he goes to make a tackle, left way too many gaps behind him.

Silva, rusty, nuff said on the subject.

Dzeko was...well I am not sure he cared anymore, he'd make an effort to get it in the wide areas and then not really do anything with it. His miss from Nasri's cross was just ludicrous for a striker in this team.

Nasri had more fight in him than I've ever seen for us or Arsenal, that was pretty encouraging.

I do not understand the slagging off of Dzeko, if you look at the highlights a southampton player blindsided him when the ball was played,no way was that a miss.
He played very well imo, held the ball up well and took his goal brilliantly...thats 2 in 2 for him.

Ballos miss was FUCKING shocking...nearly as bad as Silvas mind.

yes abandon all thoughts of using pre season to try out a plan B and play players out of position instead to see how that works out...

Well, that's over with. 3 points will do for me.
For once I agree with Carl: Dzeko wasn't bad (except for when trying to run through the Soton defence on his own in extra time and losing possession).
