Pass Crocked Snapped Cruiciates his medical when he is injured in plastercast.
Cannot dignose Robinho's injury properly (no wonder they didn't want Brazil's med team to see him, they would find out what is wrong!!).
Johnson's "groin problem" last 2 years!!.
Kompany has a sore toe that turns into a injury layoff that keeps him out for first 4 months of new season (including pre-season), no sore toe does that!.
In short I think our medical team at City are beyond pathetic and we are lucky that we have as many fit players as we do.
I wonder what idiot selected them?

Citizen of Oslo wrote:I am a medical doctor. I don't want to say too much because of reasons of confidentiallity. But here it goes:
1. Generally speaking, being a club doctor is not well paid and done for non-finacial reasons(i.e. own interest).
2. I know of one then fairly desperate Norwegian premier team that got the chance to buy a foreign striker. He was an experienced international with a record of injuries and, when fit, goals. The doctor examined him and didn't recommend it. The club gave him a short contract(rest of the season). He scored the goals that saved the club from relegation. The player didn't get a new contract and was freed. The doctors, again in general, do a verdict and then it's down to the manager and/or the board to do the calculation of risk/reward.
3. It seems hard for some football people to say no to talent. It's obvious to anyone that with severe asthma you will be struggling. If you haven't got the soft tissue there is a tendency to just call it an injury. From a strictly scientific point of view, however, both are the same: The person lacks the health for top level sport. Then again the real world also corrects the medical science and the truth is often not clear cut: Gary Mabbutt played for Spurs and was a diabetic. Asa Hartford had a heart condition. On the other side, I don't know of any current players with such diagnoses.
4. British doctors are among the best in the world, no doubt about it. But a Brazillian doctor should not be underestimated because of his/hers nationallity. Believe me - as with footballers you better judge your doctor by the individual and not the nationallity!
5. As for the case of Robinho, I can't say much simply because I don't know. Fractures come in a variety of types and severeties. With other injuries, like a ruptured achilles tendon, I know with the diagnosis app for how long the player should be out.

You really need to try and get over him mate. I dislike Hughes as much or more than anybody, but everything isn't his fault.
