They're OK reports, but not a patch on Doug's. You get no feel for the Camaraderie

All a bit weird that they should try to copy the reports.Would have been very interesting if I had been able to get there today but not being able to walk properly does have its disadvantages.

Will manage tomorrow (maybe a day off?) or Friday and see what's going on.

The thing is Doug if i was City i'd have asked you to do it.
Your reports are written from a fans point of view not a editor.

Doug got a mention on twitter yesterday from good old Ladyman.

Talking about a prepared City fan who's always at training with his ladders.

I imagine that's you DH?

Shame there isn't a comment feature on that "article" , as I am sure I wouldn't be the only to tell them that they have not only stolen Doug's idea/gig, but have done so woefully beyond belief and to boot have deliberately done so at the expense of Dougs pass. I wonder what the sheikh would make of it, he knew? So much for community/city family spirit!!

Disgraceful in my opinion, truly shocked at this by the club.

Why not let Doug do the words and the club the picture and let them put it on OS for those who don't do forums???

Have you ever considered a career as a footballers' agent?

Just thought I'd quote that pal. Now, do you honestly think that the OS TR is better than what we currently have?

Its another point of view Beefy - they will never post something that might give away something that they do not want to give away - all this will be given a once over by the powers that be before going out into the public domain , with Dougs reports noone could edit it , which is why he was probably banned from the inside in the first place , something was posted that rattled them.

I have said before and will say it again, NOONE from outside City should be allowed to see the training, even if that means we dont get to read about it from a fans perspective.

What they could of done is politely asked doug not too post his training reports anymore but still allow him to watch his team train. If they wanted to do it thats fair enough but kicking doug out is a bit snide i think.

Piss poor state of affairs. The imperious banning crap was bad enough; it would have been much more sensible to bring Doug in, brief him, and if necessary, edit out anything percieved as incriminating as they saw fit. Not that anything negative or tactically revealing is included in the reports, which makes it even more daft. And he'd do it for nowt for God's sake!
