Liverpool were inked with Christian Tello of Barcelona last week. He is out of contract at the end of this season but saw him play last night and cannot see Barca not making him an offer. Looked v. good. Proper pace and heads up left footer playing on the left until Villa came on then he switched to the right and was not so involved.

Swansea City first-team coach Alan Curtis says that Scott Sinclair could soon be on his way to Manchester City.

"He's not really interested in signing a new contract and I think Man City have made a bid," Curtis said. "So it's just a matter of time now before it happens and it's good for both parties."

On the showing at the weekend, need an impact player to shake things up a bit. It was a game of three thirds: Southampton's zonal pressing system was efficient and confident, stunting City's fluidity. I thought they worked incredibly well as a unit, pressing all over the pitch, until the Nasri goal. After that they began to retreat, as Toure and co started dominating possession. The subs completely opened the game up, and the goals forced Mancini into a weird 2-5-3 – hence the carnage in the last 15. Great game, and Southampton look organised and confident, which is a really positive sign. You can read the full tactical analysis of the game if you like, here: http://www.thechalkboard.org.uk/#!mancitysaints/cfdf

Do Wolves have a senior sporting director or do they have a donkey underling with specific responsibilities that were clearly and publicy explained at certain time?
genuine question, I do not follow Wolves

If rumours are to be believed Sunderland want AJ well if they have ust paid nigh on 14 millions for Fletcher they better have best part of 20 sitting around for AJ aswell.

We should've bought Moses instead of Sinclair. Better prospect who will really blossom in year or two. Showed last year hints of final produc of what has always been massive potential.

We missed it here.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

How much did we pay for Sinclair? Can't have been much more than £9M.

We're interested in Royston Drenthe who's a free agent. I wouldn't mind having him. He had a decent spell at Everton last season. There were high expectations of him leading to 2007 UEFA European Championship under-21. He wasn't given the chance at Real.

Agree with NQD - Chelski have a lot of pace up front - we are sadly lacking. Didn´t know btw we had signed Sinclair ;)

Mate, the Ultimate Owners of the italian Rags, since they had been forced to splash 99 millions euro in the previous financial year, these days to write off their debts, have closed a factory that was surreally opened thousands of miles from the core of European markets (i.e. Sicily) with MASSIVE contribution of the Taxpayers, plus they have just offloaded, indefinitely, to the Italian Social Security, all the workmen of a second Italian based plant (yet again, opened with contribution of public money).

Now, I see, You might have a standing point by countering: "What's the news? it's Italy, after all!".... but.....
