Very happy if true. Exactly the type of player I've been calling for.
Not a world beater no, but offers another dimension in terms of pace and committing defenders.

All about the PACE.

How do our other title rivals beat opponents like Southampton/Stoke/QPR who pack the box and defend. Pace that's how, quick nippy wingers who get behind them in a flash and get it in the danger areas.

We, as it stands, have no blistering pace and sorely need it, so for this reason I would be happy to welcome Scott with open arms.

I'm pleased wiht this

2 of the best young english prospects - 17 million spent, Marwood gets a hard time but this is how we should be doing our business in my opinion, nevermind blowing 25 million on the likes of RVP

sinclair may be quicker than AJ, but AJ's finishing, passing and touch are MILES better than sinclair's from what i've seen.

One thing that doesn't make sense os the theory that Sinclair is being bought for the english player quota. So we're buying one english player to get rid of another (AJ)?

Fantastic player. Never quite got where he should so I imagine there's some side to hi sall round game that detracts - like AJ!

However I have seen him do some fantastic things when on loan from Chelsea and for breaking down packed defences - which we will need to do more and more - I think it's an excellent signing.

Like Rodwell, will look/perform much better at City than with old club. I know, that's easy for anyone in a way, but Mancini and Platt have to pick the people who do that and, so far, I'm still trusting their judgement.

If we're getting rid of AJ, we still need English players. You only need to look at the national team to see that that means we probably won't be getting a world class player but we can't upgrade him to who we'd want, unfortunately.

If AJ would stay and come on as a game changer with 20 to go I'd be happy to keep him. He doesn't want to do that, which is fair enough. If we can therefore bring in someone with pace and who may be able to be improved to get more than 20 minutes, I'm all for it.

Left out of the Swansea squad today, looks like he'll be on board during the week.

I personally believe we need to add 2 or 3 big players before the end off the window or I can't see us doing much this year. Everyone will no our style off play because it will be the same players same system, I think you could see that against Southampton, add a couple off big players and we will be fine.

Has to be the bollox of the year ... but obviously based on the current situation and our worst case scenario ...

It's not just them, I've just quoted it in another thread in order to put it directly next to The Star's take on things.

He's frustrated and pissed off with the lack of signings, but he's not going to quit. I still believe there will be three signings, Sinclair and then two big names. Unfortunately I think one may be Maicon and the other being Jovetic.
