Always worth a read this Spanish bollox, as there are so many leaks at Barca that their every move ends up in either Sport.es or elmundodeportivo. After all I guess they have many thousands of 'owners' who need to know! Hence the blow by blow commentary in those papers of the bizarre Eto'o saga last summer.
Today (17th Nov) both papers are still giving Robbie's transfer as an almost done affair. Although EMD still maintains that Pep is still weighing up the gamble which would require a large amount of money put on the table for a player who has 'been unstable at his other clubs', Sport reckons this not to be the case. Robbie has told Alves and Kaka he's 'not going to sit with his arms folded waiting while the clubs do slow negotiations'. Robbie's feelings keep being fed to barc 'via Sylvinho(?) and Alves'.
Apparently City will play hardball with fee, but may be persuaded by Barca'a latest angle of an 18 month loan, with a pre-agreed (high)fee then kicking in.
The key is that City have told them they want Yaya Toure. Although they currently say no, his transfer would open the way for Mascherano and his advisors, who are poised to pounce so he can escape from the Dippers and replace Yaya.
Yaya's arrival would give us the possible opportunity of putting Gareth Barry at left back or left midfield (that' bit is mine!)
