I've been like that since the transfer request the previous season. Still don't trust him - my first comment after the Aguero injury was 'watch Tevez put in a transfer request now'.

However, he seems fit and happy this season. I'm now beginning to wonder whether last season was some sort of breakdown though. He was so far off the rails, it still doesn't seem rational.

I've been swinging that way too (about it maybe being a breakdown) - he got fat even while he was still banging the goals in, which had me thinking he wasn't happy - then ran when pretty much everyone including his snake-in-the-grass handler was against him, had some time out to himself and his golf clubs, came back, apologised (or rather was forced to), got his head down, stayed focused over the summer and is basically half the size he used to be, and around a quarter of a player more on the pitch. I still don't trust him to hold it together for a full season without some looney shit leaking out of his head but I will be very happy for him to show me how wrong I am.

In a bloody heartbeat.

Love the guy and I still think there is no player like him in world football.

I may also be swayed as I think he's the 1st striker in soooooo long to come to city and actually get better. My fav player all along.

It's the OTTness that just makes me laugh. We still had 52% possession against the scousers so can hardly have been giving the ball away at every opportunity can we? And we have hardly been shit even though clearly far from our best as we have 4 points from 2 games and a draw away at liverpool where we havent won for yonks.

I dread to think what angry noises come from you at a game if somebody does something wrong :) Just makes me smile .

There is recognition that there is a problem over a couple of games and there is nonsense panic.I prefer the angle that we have won 7 of our last 8 games rather than we all all doomed.Or have we actually been losing all the time and I have been asleep. We havent been at our best in the last 4 games fair enough but some of the OTT reaction is just loony.

I agree, but it's not good when we have to score 3 goals each game to win or to earn a point. We need to sure things up at the back to make our life easier. But city being city, we don't make it easy for ourselves.

personallyi reckon get past qpr on sat, 2weeks of no premier league gives time for any new faces to get used to surroundings, aguero back soon after, stick to the system we played last season and well be just fine. i would try and make sure nigel and david silva both sign new contracts cos there both the best at what they do. of tevez i think he probably had enough of his agent trying to ship him all over the place and then the bayern game, everything got too much and he pissed off to get away from all the hassle knowing hes that good at the end of the day city would sort it all out. if ever a book comes out about tevez and his time at city it will be a best seller thats for sure.

Our best defence last season, imo , was Micah, JL VK & Clichy.

It hasn't played together yet. Not only that, our 2nd best defence, Zabba, JL, VK, Clichy, has barely had any pre season together & has only played one PL game. This imo, is a mistake by Bob, & I think Plunty feels the same.

Last season, when Kolarov played, we often tended to struggle & looked a mess defensively.

Re Tevez; I think we should see how he looks 1 year (ish) from now & if he's still the happy smiling Tevez, the likelihood is he's stopped listening to Kia, so it would be safe to sign him up again. Imo, he will then drop deeper & be a star in the attacking midfield.

I think when fucking off to Argentina and arranging very public meetings with other clubs chairmen didn't get the move done plus the none negotiating with nasri and others agents over ridiculous fee's. Kia might have just come to realise that we won't be fucked with by slimy agents and give up on the idea of making more money from tevez.

He then realises that without the promise of a big pay day all the sudden Kia isn't such a good "friend" after all and like you said stops listening to anything the horrible cunt splutters.

I have no evidence but I too feel that his awol trip to Argentina was a 'fuck you' to Kia as much as to City. I just have a feeling that Kia unsettled him & talked him into wanting a move to AC Milan , then after all the shit, Milan wouldn't pay the money, they were hoping to create tension between Tevez & City & get him cheap, ala Robunho. Khaldoon told them to put up or fuck off & Tevez found himself an outcast. I don't think he was happy at all with Kia during that episode.

I'm really happy I'm just a supporter of this club and i don't have to make the decisions. Mancini will know if there is any bad blood left or is it all good now..
World class player he is. That is a fact. And we need those playing for MCFC. But he is a twat. He's ready to stab us all in the bag any second and I wouldn't trust him. I will cheer the goals he scores for our club but I will not clap or cheer on Saturday when his name is announced

I hope you're right. The slimeball's media presence has been minimal since Tevez came back.

I heartily concur with Moonchesteri's post above as well.

I hated what he did to the club, i wanted him us to find a way of making sure he never played football again by holding his contract but not playing him - I wanted him ruined for what he did - i thought it important that city stood up to player power and took a £30-40 million hit - on principle.

This year, he looks better than he ever has - that shot that hit the post against scouse was mercurial - goal of the season if it had been 2 inches to the right. He could be our best player this season very easily and deliver 30+ goals

It is also a very high risk that he will let himself down again

Conundrum? Not really, we are a business - a sports business perhaps - but a business all the same - our corporate goal is to win the league, the chapions league and as many cups as possible, our strategy is to win every game.

To this end we have to optimise our resources - and that means optimise tevez - when he has his head down and is one of the best players in the world we play him - when he is fucking with the team moral, not motivated and causing shit we dont - simple

Its impossible to think like that from a fan point of view - and its a wonderful fact that our owners and management team arent actually fans like us - if they were the ticker at the swamp would still be there

Whats this talk of Tevez dropping deeper? He's hardly a player who relies on sheer athleticism. Don't see why he can't carry on up front.

I hope he stays and keeps his focus. if we had him playing and playing well last season the leauge would have been wrapped long before it was.
scored in first two leauge games so he has gained us points already, only him or aguero would have scored the equaliser on sunday would the others have anticipated that back pass like he did....dont think so.

Is that 4 assists and 4 goals in four games now?

Might be wrong. But either way, what a player. Front runner for golden boot and poty barring injury imo.
