where should yaya play?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

where should yaya play?

Postby BobbyDazzler » Tue Aug 28, 2012 11:08 am

Perhaps I'm just a tactical simpleton, but whenever we are backs to the wall, we push Yaya further forward and he makes things happen. Can someone explain to me why we don't just start him there?

I'd prefer that half the time he played at the Etihad, and the other half we can give him a free role to play at Upton Park, Old Trafford, you know, wherever the rest of them are playing. That'd suit me fine I think.

I think that the fact we suddenly unleash him into an attacking role rather than him starting there is a good weapon later in a game as players are a bit more tired & find his pace & power difficult to deal with.

I don't like or trust him as one of two deep midfielders against decent teams though. He suddenly goes missing defensively or loses concentration & that sometimes results in goals. I think he should be one of 3 not one of two when played deeper against a proper team & he should never be given a set defensive duty or a marking job, as he won't do it.

Let him just play a free role deep & then a free role further forward.

madness that you don't trust Yaya. Everyone makes mistakes but to say you don't trust him vs. the big teams is ludacris. If anyone consistently shines on the big stage it is Yaya.

I said I don't trust him to do a set defensive job. There are numerous examples to prove my point & few examples to prove otherwise.

Tbf I'd trust him more as a defender than as a defensive midfielder as he wouldn't have to do any running back.

I was meaning more like v Napoli when both goals were down to him not covering & against Bayern when he kept letting Ribery run off into the box without trying to stop him. If we did by some miracle sign DeRossi, you would notice the difference.

related, name three women you'd go in for knowing you'd be fully nailed on 100% lead pipe lock to get a case of the clap?

i'll start:

Shakira.
Gaga.
Parker Posey or Ellen Page -- it's honestly a coin toss.

Who's next?

she would be the filthiest thing you could imagine, ever. Plus she has a nice backside. She's kinda almost nerd-hot to me as well.

it's well documented that i'm a fine. It's not a wind up.

With Edward as ever. Our bad spell last year coincided with Ya Ya wanting to do everything from 3 miles back. Disagree with Ted in that I think he would be just as devastating playing in and around the box from the beginning. Moyes made this mistake with Fellaini imo.A beast is a beast is a beast(nowt to do with gaga)
