Very good player just very unlucky with injuries. Wish him well.

Wish him well, but he's not that good. One good season w/ blackburn 5 years ago doesn't make a very good player

I don't dislike him either. Actually, if there's anyone to dislike it's Mancini for not making it work. But as things stand, this is a good outcome. That's what I meant, not that RSC is a cunt.

RSC is the one that Mancini was never going to make work. He shipped out Bellamy and Adebayor, who were actually playing well. Hughes bought RSC and then had absolutely no plan for using him. He bought RSC but then within 3 weeks had picked up Adebayor and Tevez, in addition to Bellamy and Robinho who were already at the club.

Why sign an injured overpriced player that no one else was in for on the opening day of the transfer window when we were 100% guaranteed to be in for other forwards?

You're probably right Ronk, I just didn't want to seem like a hater.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Not saying he was world class or owt but he certainly had ability. Just a shame he was made out of glass and could never get a run going.

Imo, two of the best centre forwards we played against before the takeover are both going cheap today; RSC & Berbatov.

Both had Dunney & Co for breakfast, albeit using different methods.

I always really rated Yakubu aswell. He always had good games against us.

I think Yakubu could have been absolutely top class if he wasn't a fat lazy bastard.

Not that it's got anything to do with the topic.

It will take them at least 24 hours just reading through his medical history.

Possibly the worst transfer since the takeover. £18mil?! What a joke, he was always shit bar that 1 season at Blackburn. Be glad when it's confirmed.

Jo? Bridge? At least RSC was halfway decent on the rare occasion he wasn't injured.

Good shouts. With Jo though at least there was a point were I was quite excited with the signing. Thought RSC was going to be shit from the start, 3 or 4 goals was it? didn't really change my opinion.

Was that point the Pompey hammering perhaps? He scored his only league goal in that game & looked deceivingly decent.

Shit ... someone get him a pen quick!!!

Roque Santa Cruz has been talking about why he's chosen to join Malaga ahead of Betis, who he spent last season on loan with. "My idea was to go back to Betis, but at the last minute the Malaga option came up and I liked the sporting project," he said on arrival at the airport last night. "I've not signed the contract yet, but it's basically all done."The Paraguay striker, who has a medical today, will be taking a big cut in the estimated £3.5m annual wages he receives in Manchester, with local media in Andalucia last week claiming he'd join Betis for as little as £600,000-per-year basic."

Not sure if this was already known fact but it's only a loan. When does his contract run out?

@SkySportsNews: Malaga sign Roque Santa Cruz on season-long loan from Manchester City #skydeadlineday

And good luck Roque! Good lad but you just didn't cut the mustard here

I'd rather we sold him but obviously no one would buy him as only that twat Hughes ever saw anything in him.

Such a terrible signing. I really do hate RSC. Not because he is a particularly bad person (it's not his fault he's injured all the time and Hughes wanted to pay £18m for him) - but because he represents everything about that awful period when Hughes was our manager. He's the last remnant of that hideous 18 months and if he's on loan now, with his contract running out next year, we'll never have him back.
