Is that Garcia kid any good? I just want an animal. I wish Gattuso was still decent.

To me, looking at the targets we have had for that position from DeRossi to Garcia (& others who are whispered who we probably contacted in case we couldn't get Garcia), plus the signing of Rodwell, it's about upgrading DeJong & balancing the team.

Nige can't play cb, all the others can (at a push). They are all stronger in the air & have a bit more to their game (in DeRossi's case a lot more) but it seems to me it's as much to do with physique as anything. If Nige could jump up & head a ball, I recon he'd still be at City.

Edit: Garcia's nickname is Gladiador in answer to the question.

It looks like Maicon is done according to their owner, Nasty waiting for work permit, plus Javi Garcia coming in to replace DeJong.

That will be some 12 hours.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If we get the work permit, I don't give a fuck about anything else, just please, get the work permit.

Garcia is a warrior. Upgrade on Rodwell (now that is, Rodders has the potential to go where he wants) and Barry, adapt with ball to feet and an absolute warrior, they say the finest thing about the guy is his desire to win, apparently he goes mental at his defenders when they get sloppy, pushes the team on, ect. Sounds like a vice captain in the making.

Also the lad can play CB and CDM naturally so gives versatility and at nearly 6ft 2" is a known powerhouse.

Thankfully Garcia is definitely an upgrade on the outgoing De Jong. Get him in Marwood!!

Just saying on tother thread, I've not seen much of him, but rags have been following him for ages, like with Rodwell. (lol)

He should be wearing 28. I expect that's what delayed the transfer, sell Kolo and free up the squad number, then change first name to Trevor

No complaints now he's signed. Hope he proves a great player.

Has he been registered in time for the QPR game?

Adam Johnson will just have felt a little pang of regret in his stomach.

Welcome.

I think this lad is going to do well for us. I was totally gobsmacked when I first heard about it but the more I've been thinking of it & especially just reading Bob's little comment today about how AJ likes it to feet but Sinclair plays in the space, I think there's a lot more tactical planning in this than we have realised.

We may have just gained something we lost when Bellamy went.

He's got some guns on that picture! I used to think he was skinny as hell!!

I can't believe no one else has said it, but won't it be a bit awkward for him with Micah there?

It's bit awkward that you'd pay so much attention on his build. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Judging by Micah's previous 'habits' Rosie could be in for a treat. Where is Ishmail Miller these days ?

Mase is a bit queer. I'm not sure if that's the reason but it could play a part.

Again, no judging. Get yr freak on mase. Scott is a good looking kid.
