Savic Gone + "New Vidic" In

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

NQDP, Slim,

I have insulted You a couple of times and been slagged by You a nice deal. That's was for the sake of proper frequentation and preservation of the best Football Forum ever and the dedicated care You both apply to such important task and responsability.
I think time has come fair to state how much I love You both, and even more for the exquisite fun granted by this public exchange of view on the moderation policy of this board.

for my humble 5 pc. I think that Antti, once discounted a wide deployment of his huge ego, is spot on insisting to apply a strict control of main difference btw US and BM, while Slim is absolutely bang on the money in saying that our Finn Cerberus (tbh, I actually struggle to even imagine Antti dressed in a fascist uniform, lol) can be "very flayboyant" in making his points.

Once said that, as an humble, non Blue born, apprentice I now can shut up and fuck off.

make love, no war.

p.s.: Di Marzio, son of a former italian Manager of the 80s, can be - sometimes - quite well informed on the Italian Clubs (ONLY) but can overall be fairly described as the italian answer (in the meaning of all the differences that separate the Italian culture from the British) to Jamie Redknapp. I.e.: he can sometimes be proven right but I trust him as much as I do Ian Landycunt.

AG7 wrote:So including all of this mornings activity and news ... so far this transfer window looks like this:

IN:
Jack Rodwell (Everton, £12m-£15m)
Scott Sinclair (Swansea, £6.2m-£8m)
Maicon Sisenando (Inter Milan, £2.5m-£4m)

IN THE WORKS, SO MAY COME IN:
Matija Nastasic (Fiorentina, £10m-£12m + Savic)
Javi Garcia (Benifica, £20m+)
Stevan Jovetic (Fiorentina, £20m+)

OUT:
Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham, £5m)
Adam Johnson (Manchester City £10m-£12m)
Wayne Bridge (Brighton, loan)
Vladimir Weiss (Pescara, undisclosed)
Greg Cunningham (Bristol City, free)
Stuart Taylor (Reading, free)
Gunnar Nielsen (released)
Owen Hargreaves (released)

MAY STILL GO OUT:
Stefan Savic (Fiorentina, part of Nastasic deal)
Roque Santa Cruz (Malaga, £4m)
Nigel De Jong (AC Milan, £3m-£5m)
John Gudetti (Various, on loan)

NOT HAPPENING:
IN: Agger, De Rossi, Walcott
OUT: Dzeko, Kolarov, Kolo Toure

Looking at all the above ... I think OUTs this windows were probably more exciting than any INs.

Have we signed Maicon and Sinclair?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Italian football expert James Horncastle: "The window is closed in Italy but the espresso machine is still on. So, in anticipation of an official announcement confirming his move from Fiorentina to Manchester City, it might be worth discussing what can be expected of Matija Nastasic.

"The 19-year-old centre-back was a revelation in Serie A last season. Thrown in at the deep end, his first start came against the then champions AC Milan. Did Nastasic let the occasion get to him? Not in the slightest. He marked Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the league's top scorer and best player, out of the game in a 0-0 draw. From that day on, he was one of the first names on Fiorentina's team-sheet and earned a call-up to the Serbia squad. Hailed as 'the new Nemanja Vidic', his response to that was simply: "I wish…""

"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
