Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Well done Brendan...all coming together nicely...getting rid of the dead wood...pissing off those already there you dont want...converting downing to a full back...new players in...er...well..not quite
Ive never known a Liverpool like this...they cant just click there fingers and players flock to them..how humbling it must be...

Nevermind all that. He has a 150 page dossier.
Their year.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

He's got his footballing philosophy though so that'll see them through.
He'll tell us all about it in every interview this weekend, and then the pundits and commentators will repeatedly talk about it too.
No other team ever in the history of football has ever tried to pass the ball to each other in an attempt to win a match. It's all new thinking by Rodgers.

Rodgers inherited a team at Swansea built by Martinez that was on verge of greatness until Martinez went to JJB land - unfortunately (or fortunately lol) he's inherited a team at Liverpool destroyed by Hicks + Gillette & managed by King Kong Kenny

They were in top gear...we weren't...nowhere near...
Rodgers has fucked up the squad balance...hes let players go and then tried to mug fulham off for Dempsey. Maybe thats why Martinez said no...he knew the funds werent there

i believe three things:
Rodgers will likely get found out at this level inevitably.
He's signed some quality and made some good decisions about moving players out or giving others a shot.
He has quality in his side which isn't horrible...it's as good as the other clubs outside of City and Chelsea.
cheers

Today has just confirmed what I have been thinking for the last six months.
Liverpool will be the next Rangers.
The sums just do not add up.

Downing and Adam and Henderson are huge busts..and Carroll too so far.
Last summer the only good business LFC did was Jose Enrique and Craig Bellamy (played well for them while he was there)
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Really poor from them to let him get away. Ridiculous.
Easier than ever to hate Dempsey in a spurs kit. Cock.

Seems they're being slammed everywhere. From what I can tell:
- they loaned Carroll and Spearing
- they missed Dempsey
- they didn't shift Joe Cole
- they need a striker
Anything else I missed? Why all the criticism?

Sold Adam for a fraction of what they paid.
