91% - Of players to have made 10+ PL appearances, Stefan Savic has the best win percentage in the competition's history. Farewell.

Damn statistics!
Roberto Mancini was the man who brought us our first trophy in 35 years. He was the man that brought us our first league title in 44 years. He brought us one of the greatest moments of our lives. He masterminded a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, and a Wembley win over United. He challenged Ferguson, he argued with him on the touchline, he brought success, and he punched the air in delight with the rest of us at the madness of it all. He had style, panache and a winning smile. All those memories he gave us will never be forgotten, in a wonderful period in this club’s long history.
And I swear, we’ll never see anything like it again.

I'll be quite interested to see Mr. Boombastic in action.

I'm always a bit wary of these players that are saddled with this "the new ********" title - they never seem to quite live up to it

I've completely lost touch with Italian football since I ditched ESPN - is he any good ?? (and yes, I realise he's better than savic)

I've almost lost touch to the same extent, despite living here and unless Sampdoria are concerned.
He certainly got very good potential, but I'd consider wise to say, none defender can be judged untill proven on EPL.

still how sweet it is signing the "new Vidic" when they are bound to deliver the "old One" to the nursing home?

TBH, he would have looked right in place so far this season, our defence has been dire. He could've been the star.

The OS has said he's moved in the opposite direction. Nothing about a loan.
Dzeko has been crying on
Twatter apparently about him leaving so he's definitely gone full time.

Nastasic signs as Savic leaves

Manchester City have announced the signing of teenage Serbia defender Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old joins the Barclays Premier League champions in a deal which also sees Montenegro international Stefan Savic moving in the opposite direction on a year long loan.

Nastasic is the fourth player to join City on a hectic final day of the summer transfer window.

Maicon, Scott Sinclair and Richard Wright have also signed for the champions and a deal for Benfica's Javi Garcia is reportedly close to fruition as well.

Nastasic will arrive as a straight swap for Savic, who has struggled to make an impression at the Etihad Stadium since his £6million signing from Partizan Belgrade last year.

He joins captain Vincent Kompany, England international Joleon Lescott and Kolo Toure among manager Roberto Mancini's central defensive options.

When speaking about his interest in the player, Mancini said: "Nastasic will be one of the top players for a long time."

Savic, 21, made 11 appearances for the club last season but did not look comfortable in his first taste of the English game.

That's off the OS?? Cause I read it this morning and it said nothing about him going on loan. Unless they've changed it.
