If you go back to my initial reply to your post my main point was that Hazard was the only player that improves on what they have got.Of course he will, already has.

Hey a quote with my name in it...fucking aces.

I am not so convinced Garcia, Maicon, Sinclair, Rodwell or Nastasic. The only one I am 100% convinced will do the job we hired him for is Wright. Sinclair and Rodwell both have to step up their game, one of them already tried dining at the big boy's table and failed to make a dent. Maicon could well be a spent force in decline and Nastasic and Garcia have to adjust to the league and we know what a coin toss that can be.

We COULD'VE done great business, Chelsea COULD'VE done great business, but the only thing I think sways it in their factor is Hazard who, like Aguero, is one of those players who have hit the ground running to absolutely no-one's surprise.

Definitely. We might not even be better off without Johnson, Savic and de Jong.

Given the choice of not making any of our signings or Hazard: the later might well be the better option and the more popular one.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA, better off keeping savic, I like it.

I liked de Jong and Johnson as players, sadly when it looks like they are leaving, around here the knives come out without mercy or common sense. We needed certain things this window and I think we've done it, Sinclair for pace out wide, replace that useless sack and get defensive cover for Lescott and Kompany. Buy a 3rd senior keeper after Taylor left, replacing him with someone equally as useless.

But time is what we need to see if we really have done it or if January will be a busy month. I hope Sinclair gets to play because I quite liked watching him play for Swansea and if he has matured and can take the leap in quality we might have something reliable and different should we get clogged up going through the middle.

Just watched Sinclair's interview....he has the face of a much older guy. It's quite sinister watching him talk..

I'd agree that Chelsea have had the best window. Very interested to see what Garcia and Nasty are like in the Prem....of the three we've shipped out IMO only Nigel is the real loss and even that is only the loss of a) his personality in the squad/dressing room and b) his ability to break up and disrupt the opposition. I'm hoping that now he's gone Milner will get more opportunities centrally and that also Rodwell and/or Garcia prove themselves up to the task of providing us with a Yaya alternative or accompaniment esp when he goes to the ACN.

So happy to be rid of Savic....Roberto dropped a massive bollock wanting him and I'm sure that Mancini will be equally happy that he never has to try to play him again

Even if Sinclair in terms of overall talent is like for like with Johnson I hope that he has a better attitude and that will see him develop and contribute more than AJ. He certainly brings something we don't have enough of.

Maicon...I don't think we "needed" as a player but he can deliver balls into the box and he will be great for Micah to work alongside. Interesting to see how Zabba is deployed most often now that he is here....but I think we can rely on Pablo to adapt and develop even more

Pablo adapt?

I am sure Bobby has a dart board that lists all the positions, and says "Where will I play Pablo this week?"..."Goalie? eh! He'll do alright".

hating that, they have done a job for us during a very successful period, people slagging them off as they leave is very, well, rag-like. Hate to see people round here suffering from Munchenmunch-by-proxy :(

I was really ambivalent when AJ went, mainly because of how I perceived his attitude to be - I'm going to miss Nige though.
I'm somewhat surprised we kept Dzeko too, not because I wanted him out but because I thought he was another one (like Nige) that looked like he had one foot out the door already.

Spurs had done a great summer, but i think AVB will finally show how shit he is a manager (which i wasen't convinced until i saw their game with WBA)

On the other hand, i think the rags have done a great deal with... Kagawa. Not RVP, but Kagawa who was their main men these two games they had so far. He is really, really good.

I think City & Chelsea have done the best business.

Both have missed their main tagets, us a Silva alternative, them a Drogba replacement, but both are now much stronger than they were last year.

The rags have made two good signings but as usual, it's the 'let's hope so & so bails us out week after week' method again from Slur alex rather than filling the positions they were short & signing Garcia for instance, who they identified as their 'new Roy K**ne' a long time ago. They are definitely stronger in attack but imo weaker in other areas.

Spurs to me have blown it by missing Moutinho. Sigurdson is not in the same class & they have lost their two pass & move players in Modric & Dutch lazyarse. They also have to rely on Ade & DeFoe. Danger Will Robinson, Danger!

Arsenal are an absolute fucking joke & should bow their heads in shame. Wenger is a fucking money obsessed con man & makes me vomit.

Just to add, fancy Everton to finish ahead of Liverpool.

I think the teams that have improved over last year's squads are Chelsea, Spurs and Us ... Scum, I'm not so sure with RVP but Kagawa looks decent. Chelsea and Tottenham look to have improved more because they had that gap to fill, that huge room for improvement. We might not look like having done as well as those two in the window but that's because we didn't really need any major overhaul ...

Here's my analysis of out window:

Deadwood gone: Adebayour, RSC, Bridge ... so we have cleaned up our book to some extent.

Unwanted/under-performing players gone: AJ, Savic, DeJong ... whatever you say about the three individually and I know on Savic more agree than DeJong but the three were fringe players ... Mancini wasn't going to keep giving them chances and in DeJong's case commercial sense also prevailed as he was in last year etc. So not so bad moving them on and getting players that will be hungrier than them and Mancini seems to like them more ... Those three replacements are Nastasic, Sinclair plus Garcia for the three, then we have added Rodwell and Maicon which add a little depth to cover that Defense and defensive midfield area ... Maicon will help Micah grow here, plus he can play many places same as Rodwell, we don't know where Mancini plans to use them but we'll see how and when he deploys them but with four competitions ahead I'm sure they all will get plenty of action.

Wright is probably the worst but here but how many times did we see the third goal keeper last season? None ... so I don't think we'll need him in games (I hope we don't) probably on bench for CapitalOneCup games ... but his experience might be helpful in training for the other two ...

So overall we are definitely stronger than last year, we have a squad that is now complete Mancini's squad, he know them all, he has completed this and will have a gameplan keeping various options, which we lacked last year, with this we can play 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 ... we lacked pace, we have added that, we lacked a plan b at times when teams parked the bus and seems like Mancini is preparing for those plan b and plan c type formations when needed to change the whole system during games ...

Now I may be biased here, but we have done the most systematic business, we knew exactly what to ship out, we did just that and we knew what positions to bring player in and for what roles to cover and we have done exactly that without spending a lot (net) ...

Chelsea's defence is still questionable, they have way too many same type of players in midfield now, United has gone for RVP but neglected their midfield so only time will tell but we have done really well an I am very pleased with this overall.

Bring em on!

I missed that we actually did the deals for Ntcham and Marin....everything I read about the French kid makes it sound like he really could turn out to be quite a player...has anyone seen anything of him yet?
