Really impressed so far. Although that near own goal. ....
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Criticized him in the first two games, but today he really looked the player we really need. Great play, great performance all in all.

In january when Yaya is away he must perform like today.

He was excellent today. Seems to be settling in very well.

Keeps everything simple and gets stuck in.

He has the potential to turn into a top class player, particularly with players like Barry and Yaya to learn from.

he was great today (dodgy own goal moment aside, joe had it covered) - players like him and sinclair will flourish with the quality that is around them - and as for razak - I am going to start a thread about him - see you in a minute...

Impressed with him so far and the good thing is knowing he will get better the more he gets used to his new team and his role.

Was impressive today. Obviously settling in well and building an understanding with Yaya. But how will Javi fit in ? Will we revert to playing 2 DM's with Yaya in a more forward freer role ? And there is still Barry to come back !

Fuck me, Savic would've been savaged for what Rodders has done in his 2 starts. In fact, Nige got slated for doing the exact same things Rodders did.

He's done alright, nothing special and is still growing into the role. Give him time, I rate him but it's all about potential.

So you're saying Rodwell will turn out like Nige as a fans favourite?

I didnt see him misplace a single pass in the first half and he must have had 40 or 50 touches.

Looks really good on the ball, saw a couple of Vinnie-esqe turns aswell

His workrate was good and as others have said, that challenge was World Class, not a foul, never mind a booking

No, wasn't that good against Saints! Gave us much needed shape against Liverpool.

Today he looked like he'd never played a defensive position before. No protection for the back four. Reminds me of jeff whitley's debut against barnsley

The obvious answer is that we probably will play with 2 complete central midfielders, rotating through Javi, Rodwell, Yaya & Barry.

My concern is the impact it will have on Dave and Nasri - as they are totally wasted out wide, you could see on a couple of occasions today when both drifted infield, stuff started to happen and QPR looked very stretched

Think he has looked very good in both his starts to be honest. Big, powerful,Aggressive, strong, quick and neat and tidy in possession. Think he will turn out to be an absolutely tremendous midfielder and fulfil his potential.
The thing I like is that he moves the ball on quickly and isn't scared to move it forward which unfortunately couldn't be said for Nigel (although I will miss him).
He will only get better as he gains confidence and gets to know his teammates, he's only been with us 2 weeks so still alot of settling in yet.

I'm shocked at how good Rodwell looks & how good he could be potentially. I saw him so many times for Everton & England U21's & he seemed to me to be getting worse. He looked great initially but at times I actually likened him to Carlton Palmer.

I'm starting to realise that I could actually have been........ been...... wrong!

I'm not sure I'll ever get over this.
