Man Of The Match v QPR

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Sep 01, 2012 8:13 pm

Tevez for me, although I thought Dzeko and Yaya had cracking games. Silva getting back to his best with Nasri working his nads off.

For them, Chris Foy.

Rodwell for me, thought he had a cracking game with some nice touches, closely followed by Zab

Tevez for a very sound and committed allround performance.
The Beast close second with a special - deserved - mention to Rodders and Zabba.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Nobody got a mention for Dave or Samir?

I thought Dave grew into a game where he became more influential as it went along while I thought Nasri never stopped.

Tevez for me. Tireless. Yaya got it in the ground which I thought was a tad strange. Decent game but not his best. Rodwell second.

They worked hard, but were both marginalised by having to keep the width. Dave drifted into the middle a couple of times on about 60 minutes, we looked like a different proposition. He panics the heart of defences with his little jinks in the middle, and he can leave a defence at 6s and 7s.

Out wide, they don't really have much of the same effect, and the defence is usually massed enough to mean its hard or impossible to find the killer ball.

I think that's most games mate. They start in a set position and then drift between, a decent proposal if you ask me.

I always mention about the first 20 where we keep a safe stance, must be a Mancini thing. Works though.

Tevez for me.good game up front always a threat long may it continue.
Mention for edin as well although it doesn't look or seem to be natural to him he just keeps popping up with goals at important moments.

Strange, I'd say that a player who just pops out of nowhere, all the time, is natural. That's what he does, score goals wherever he is.

It's as if people emotionally link him to RSC, presuming the worse.

Dzeko's been quality for us and I for one am glad he's getting another run-out. Shame if Mario takes his slot next time out.

Tevez all day for me. What a player, set two up and was ignored a dozen times before finding a way to score.

Edin grew in to the game eventually, silva is nearing peak again, yaya is immense and Rodwell is starting to shine.

When i say.it doesn't seem natural im talking about his allround play.at times his touch is terrible and the ball seems to bounce off him rather than stick like Tevez or aguero.last week he ballooned a couple over the bar when you'd expect him to hit the target and the one he shanked for the Tevez goal you would want on target.still if he scores every game then it doesn't matter either way.

Dzeko for me.

Might put a tenner on him being dropped next game.

Part of me would like to see Edin given an extended run to play himself properly back into form....BUT...fact of the matter is that at some point he will be rotated out for whatever reason and if he is to remain at City as a valuable player he just needs to be able to find a way of dealing with maintaining his form to a certain level when in and out. Sergio, for example, doesn't seem to struggle at all to find the pace of a game and make his mark when he comes off the bench, ditto Carlos.

Balotelli IMO often looks better when he comes off the bench as he seems really susceptibe to getting frustrated/disheartened when he starts and things don't go his way...that (amongst other things) is what he needs to work on but both him and Dzeko need to improve those aspects of their game and approach to games
