Ed was fantastic today. Well played Palus. Whatever you cunts are feeding him is working.
Tevez. Nuf sed.
Pablo. See "Tevez".
Nice lil cameo from Razak. Just a trailer. I'll go see that movie though for sure.

Way too edgy. Can you be wasteful and resourceful in the same match? we were.

Mabuhay.

Ed was fantastic? You need to actually start watching the games rather than looking at who scored. He was fucking abysmal

Dzeko was piss poor today again. Lots of effort, but lots of mistakes

Put him in front of goal, and he will likely score. But away from the area he struggles as he is technically not fit to lace the boots of the players around him, so often is the reason a promising move breaks down.

Not his fault though in my opinion, he should be placed in the penalty area and let everyone else fuck about tippy tappying around with the sole intention of delivering him the ball in the box.

But then everyone would moan about his work ethic. He cant win really

I saw Dzeko make a few visionary passes - he put Tevez (I think) in a one on one with their keeper (I'm not meaning his shot that he misshit either).

I thought dzeko moved well. Found space. Dragged defenders around. Kept the ball at his feet. Scored a great header.

Also he was good defending from the front at times and he worked hard for the team today.

He put in a shift and played well. I liked it.

What did you see?

I'd have to go with our American friend on this, I also thought Edin had a decent game, looked a little rusty to start with, but as the game wore on he got more into the game and his all round contribution and link up play was more than satisfactory. Fucking abysmal? I'd watch the game, unless you're on a windup!?!

I saw a combination of 20 minutes of gametime. Dzeko was good, bad, bad, good, great, good, great, bad, great. Tall players are not consistent. Give him a solid run and he''ll be fine.

I saw a slow, clumsy player who lost possession on numerous occasions, missed a hatful of good chances and generally struggled to forge an understanding with Tevez as for most of the game he simply wasn't on his wavelength. I just don't think he is good enough for us. By the way it wasn't a great header - Tevez put the ball on his head, all he had to do was nod it in. Ok, he had to be there to put it away but you can't seriously believe that it was a 'great' header?

He had a great opportunity to score when put through by Silva (when Tevez would have been the better option but had just strayed offside) in the 2nd half - one on one against the keeper and his shot went well wide of the far post

Try and get hold of a recording of the game and watch it - look where Ed is when Kolarov decides to pull the ball back to Tevez instead of squaring it to Ed for an almost guaranteed tap in - look where Ed is for pretty much any chance we had to score for that matter. Watch for a couple of truly inspired passes from him which most of us would have been creaming ourselves about if they'd come from Silva (the through ball to put one of our guys one-on-one with their keeper was probably the best pass in the entire match). Sometimes I think people have a subconcious filter and only remember the stuff that matches their existing opinion of a player.

You may be right, but my existing opinion of him is based on what I have seen of him and apart form the first few games of last season where he was on fire, he has been poor.

Dzeko is one of those players. He can be effective but some fans just don't like watching him.

Many of the criticisms of him are valid, but if you can take the bad as well as the good, and vice versa, then he's easier to appreciate. He's not going to stop making some of those mistakes, but that's just part of his game.

Have to agree with Dam here.IF, and I know it's easier said then done,he had been given the passes/crosses that were on, he would have scored at least a hat trick yesterday. He looked properly up for it all match and long may it continue.

I agree. We were pulling our hair out on our row watching time & again as they ignored him waving his arms at the far post waiting for a simple cross & tried the most difficult pass, ending in fuck all, instead.

Had it been a rag wide player on the ball, he would have had so many headers he'd need a crash helmet.

I think a big part of the problem is the style the team is used to playing without ED there - we don't hit blindfolded balls into areas of danger to play percentages and Ed is a percentage player, he will almost always be in the place with the highest percentage chance of causing maximum damage. It's like last season where Aguero did one of his runs through the box parallel to the goal line then turned and hit the ball into the gap he'd just created - I was screaming at the screen for the fullback (I think it was Kolarov) to get on the post and for one of our midfielders to attack the goal line as he was turning to play the ball into the gap. That would be EXACTLY the place Dzeko would have taken up in his sleep.

Mate he was not at hes best game not even close but first corner he head in goal clearence from line ,Kolarov did not give him ball alone tap in , later few times he control well ball on half and pass it back by players and make few mistake , later Rodwell did not give him ball alone on side when Rodwell ask for penalty , then make shit from one of counter at the end pass to Yaya cut off , he did run drag players on side and sometimes track down . second half again he did decent give ball to Tevez one on one ,Zabba did not give him ball on 5 meters of goal, go for shot from hard situation, that easy goal he escape two defenders on first post read well game make easy Tevez to HIT HIM IN HEAD he play average game but that shit game sorry mate i know i m not like one to talk abaut him but i think i start to be real how he play he did not be bad Tevez was far the best , Yaya was like always great i have problem with drop of our pace in second half and defence is not good , i dont like some players how they play so i can understan u, but City have great team won Fa won title so u cant dispute that by the way 1 0 for Saints yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa
