Didn't we score most goals from corners last season? ... Doesn't mean we shouldn't score more tho!

We were certainly amongst the top scoreres from corners, which is a tribute to Bob, his staff & the players, because many crucial points came from it & if we'd had the previous season's record, we may well have finished closer to 3rd than 1st.

If we can persuade someone to actually kick the ball properly at set pieces, the additions of Garcia & Rodwell could make us more of a threat than Stoke in that area & it could be in there that we nick the winner v the likes of Madrid or Barca in the future.

I understand what you say, but dont think Chelsea got ripped off with Hazard looking at his performances so far.

Did Hazard look worth the money last night? Shouldn't judge him on one game or on three in the premier league against easier opposition. If he does it all season, fair enough, but let's not start saying the club made a mistake by refusing to pay a ridiculous fee for such a young player after three games.

Where did I say we made a mistake by not paying the fee?, and I think my comment clearly says SO FAR.

So far is 4 games of a season. You may as well declare Razak the new Messi.

At the end of the season, Hazard may be worth the £40m Chelsea paid, including agent's fees, but clearly no one else thought he was worth the risk at the moment.

I'd say that he's worth more than this year or next. This year's a bonus, just like Sergio for us.

Now you are just being stupid to try and make a point.

It wasn't a case of us not thinking he's worth 'x' amount, it was a case of club policy not paying bribes to agents, so if he was on a free & his agent wanted a £6 mil bung, we still wouldn't have signed him.

Oh, I think our morals may have been tested had it only cost £6M in agent's fees.

You may well be right there, as a matter of priciple.
Still facts remain that - as You had dissertated widely and eloquently in the last six months, this cunt, used by the right hands (Bob's) might have taken us even above the Barca quality and effectiveness of attacking football, hence:
a) we have choosen the very wrost case where to stick with matter of principle, rather than in few previous occasions;
b) we both know (even if You'll never admitt and claim for lack of documentary evidence) that, should Soriano have been available and in charge (officially or not) by end of april, the bribes would have been lessened, a mediation found and the contract sealed and announced the first day of the open window.

As You see I did not used a certain name, hence I rest by pretending to not have breached my oath, and remain confident in Your sensible and constructive attitude for not being taken back on it... ;)

All in all, as a matter of wisdom, don't look back, enjoy the ride and God bless MCFC with a long profitable management by Khaldoon and Soriano, both proven professionals in respective roles.

In terms of the rock stars, we didn't make signings, but sometimes it's better to get the other players.

We look to have better depth. There are only so many flair players you can accommodate and we've needed players like Kompany, Zabaleta: guys who were inexpensive but have grown with us.

It feels like we have a better squad in the long term.

absotulely.
I think I have already posted above that the window ended almost perfectly, in terms of acquisition.
It would had been perfect if we had those signing done in due time (i.e. the day before preseason started) and we had captured our main target, not for the sake of having another rock star (which I agree we already have enough and for long) but because of what Ted has disserta-Ted, on technically merit.

Still, Your overall point stands as a whole, I am very glad to acknowledge it.
