The obvious answer is that we probably will play with 2 complete central midfielders, rotating through Javi, Rodwell, Yaya & Barry.

My concern is the impact it will have on Dave and Nasri - as they are totally wasted out wide, you could see on a couple of occasions today when both drifted infield, stuff started to happen and QPR looked very stretched

I think until our defence settles, it is absolutely a must to play with 2 DM's (at least against strong opposition and in the CL). Yaya's best position is playing in front of the 2 DM's to give him freedom to go forward. We can probably afford to play with 1 striker now (Tevez) but once Aguero is back, he will be an automatic starter.
That leaves only 1 spot (2 if we play with 1 DM) to be filled by Dave, Sam, Mario, Milner and SS. That's a tough one for Bobby even with rotation.

We can probably use a hybrid of one/two DM's when Barry is fit again, letting Rodwell or Barry have a bit more freedom to go forward in posession and having them both back in defence. (and leaving Yaya to do what he wants further up the field).

Where Rodwell will thrive is going forward. He needs to look at Yaya and try and play like him, if he does this, he could surpass him in ability in the end.

God imagine that, a better Yaya.... christ.

It must be a novelty for Rodders to be playing in a passing side rather than Everton's big hump up the park.

I'd say relief.

I can't think of a player more unsuited to playing at Everton than him.

Tbf, Everton seem to be attempting to play a bit more football these days. They still score mainly headers & knock downs, but at least they pass it around a bit as well.

Was shaky in game 1, as expected, and gave away that goal. Then came off the bench vs Scouse and gave away a goal on some bs call. And yesterday he played really well. I think hes gonna be great for us.

Although i see a surplus issue here. Yaya will always start next to a defensive mid. For now its jack or javi..but when barry comes back there will be 3 vying for that position. Yea, we have alot of games in many competitions, but i feel bad for him and barry as i see javi taking over that dfm spot, even though barry has been immense for us.

That's assuming we play Nasri and
Silva. If we rotate them some games we can play an extra box2box/defensive mid.

I think that Bob is deliberately keeping hold of him until he will fully gel in the system of play and get used to other team mates around him.
Later on he will be progressively released from tactical and tutorial shackles. From then on, up to Yaya and King Colin, well....

Also I am still quite convinced that Bob might see another Vinnie in him, sooner rather than later, irrespectively of 3 back formation.

true, of course. i would like this. Play Silva and sit Nasri and then bump Yaya forward with Garcia and Barry behind.

I suppose now he is begining to settle in Bobby can use him as an example to that other lazy cunt we have in midfield who refuses to tackle anybody and only defends when he wants.Obviously Rodders needs to teach him a thing or two.

Or Rodwell could play alongside Garcia or Barry or both, behind him against the big teams so that he doesn't have to tackle & can go forward create goals etc instead without having to knacker himself out chasing back ?

You know, like the intelligent football conversation some of us were having, apart from one wanker throwing in childish comments rather than giving an alternative ?

Are you really this fucking stupid ?

Why did I ask ? Of course you are.

Just so that you, the stupidest person on the internet, understands; we are not talking about changing Yaya, or dropping Yaya, we are talking about organising the rest of the team so that these flaws are covered when we play big teams, because it's unlikely we can change Yaya & some of us think that best teams will seek to exploit those flaws & may sometimes succeed.

To have to explain this several times to you, the stupidest person on the internet, when a 3 year old child would undestand it first time, just proves that you are indeed the stupidest person on the internet.

Just in case you don't understand that either; you are fucking stupid & Yaya is one of the best players in the world & one of City's most important players, if not THE most important player. Hopefully you've got it now.

P.S. you are fucking stupid.

HAHA

Awesome rant! You tell him!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
