The Ben Arfa one was a great challenge. Hard, but fair and he won the ball. Not one Newcastle player claimed a foul at the time. It was just unfortunate on how he landed!

Miss-timed? You're deluded mate. The whole Holland team was told to go out that night with one objective. And that was to hurt Spain.
There was nothing miss-timed about it!

It was miss-timed. He was looking at the ball, which was in the air and went for it not realising Alonso was there. Just look at his leg. It wasn't a kick. If it was, he would've extended it, but he didn't.
Don't get me wrong, it was dumb thing to do, but you can easily see that he didn't intend it. Dangerous, yes. Malicious, no.

NDJ isn't a dirty player. He sometimes makes a reckless challenge, but he goes for the ball. The tackle against Stuart Holden wasn't a good tackle, but it wasn't malicious either. Same story for Ben Arfa.

I mean, if you want a sick tackle then have a look at this:

Exactly, it was dangerous because his foot was so high and he should have been more aware of where Alonso was but it wasn't deliberate, as someone else said, he's pretty smart and probably knows several ways of hurting someone without it looking so blatant in front of the entire world.
