Pre-season mode?

I have to say its a little worrying Mr Platt saying we are still in pre-season mode! With just one game, an away game at Stoke, before going to Madrid we would want to snap out of pre-season mode fairly sharpish.

I think he is right, It always takes a few games to sharpen up and even if the first games are comprehensive wins while looking sharp, they aren't really, just that other teams are even more off the pace. I dont think it is necessarily physical either, I think it is mainly mental sharpness.
It just takes serious competitive games to get that imo. I always think that it takes about 7 games to really fully get up to speed.

Anyway, usually the Spanish league is a week behind us, but i'm not sure this year did they kick off the season same as us this year? Otherwise Madrid would be a weeks worth behind us, which is better than a week ahead obviously.

Well Real have already had a couple of games against Barca to get rid of any cobwebs. We need to step up a few gears if we are going to have any chance. Lets hope sad boy becomes a manic depressive over the international break.

The good thing is that Real is not setting the world on fire. Played 3, lost 1, drew 1 and won 1 and the fake Ronaldo is falling apart !!
