Nurofen the painkiller was found to lacerate your liver, after you've been using it for 20 years. I could be in trouble.

That's yet another shit bit of journalism. Laser surgery is usually a simple job, I have had mates back at work the next day. However, how about he uses something like the Summer break to fix this? No, it's crap journalism, we've been swamped by it this Summer.

Pilots, surgeons, hockey goaltenders, cricket players and baseball players. I could see having that surgery if it would improve my job (I would load up on disability insurance first), but I am with Mase and Doom, no way anyone is cutting my eye.

The misses had it done 15 years ago and she had to go back and have it redone as it didn't work first time. Worked a treat second time and it was the best thing she ever did. My daughter had it done as a 21st birthday present and had to go back for seconds also, but again it worked perfectly 2nd time. Night vision issues have supposed to have been cleared up with new procedures but both my misses and daughter don't like night driving due to glare of headlights making it uncomfortable.

Let's hope Marion's works first time and he is not having his done in town where my girls had it done. Night games under floodlights might be an issue!!

Its fkin horrible operation, they clamp one eye open and patch the other, then they cut a u shape around the eye pulling it over, you then go from seeing to like being under water vision with no goggles. Then comes the laser which makes this clicking noise the amount of laser time depends on how bad your vision is, I had around 12 seconds, the smell is rank liking burning skin/hair smell. That eye gets covered then the same again, i could feel the sweat pissing down my forehead whilst squeezing the fuk out of a stress ball.
It was probably all over in 15 minutes, put some decent shades on then the wife drove me home, went to bed with goggles on as you have a massive urge to rub your eyes & they are pretty sore. Managed to get a couple of hours kip, then put some drops in to keep them moist.
I remember looking out of the window across the road & I could actually read car number plates & see leaves on trees instead of everything being a blur.
This was done on a Saturday morning & like I said I was back at work Monday morning but like stated my job didnt involve jumping around heading footballs etc., at the time I was a fabricator.

It costs exactly the same now as it did 15 years ago which was really weird as I paid for the misses and bought it for a present for my daughters 21st. £450 per eye and you can pay monthly if you don't have the cash up front.

I would recommend it to anybody, my missus was blind as a bat without her glasses and she always said I would just love to open my eyes in the morning and be able to see, which was a weird thought for me as I have 20 20 vision.

Depends on how bad your eyes are & how much laser required, I was at a stage of having to start wearing glasses as driving was becoming dangerous, signs blurred etc., it cost me £800 which is still the cost. That includes everything the eye tests before hand, a bit of councilling the opperation the eye drops the check ups after the operation @ 1 day 1 week 1 month then signed off at 3 month.
No pain but very uncomfortable getting it done and like a scratchy irratating feeling for a few hours after then dry eyes for a while, eyes didnt produce tears so drops. Eyes been perfect now for 8 years.

I like the word "moist"; you don't normally get to use it much except when talking about christmas cake and vaginas . . and eyes obviously.

One of the countless reasons why Britannia is a great Nation.
I had a laser surgery on both eyes (different purposes) almost 10 years ago and it costed me.... well, more than a 10 yaers ST for the best seat available at the Ethiad!
gutted.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
