Tickets for the Capitol One Cup match vs. Villa are priced at £17,50 for League Cup Scheme Members and £22.50 for others.
3rd tier closed.
Imo we should've lowered the prices more. The match is on Tuesday, two days after we play Arse at home. There will be plenty of blue seats in sight with these prices.

Tickets for the Dortmund match are more reasonably priced though, from £35 to £40.

CL game is reasonably priced. At those prices for the Capital One we will be lucky to crack 20k for the game, tops.

£22.50 to see the reserves play, 2 days after the Arsenal game that is priced at top whack? Hmm, not the smartest decision from City.

The cup games are likely the only games the family & I can go to now, we generally did 3 or 4 home premiership games a season but I would assume all sell outs now.
What pisses me off is when its a sell out & then I see 2000 empty seats in the away end, fuck that give them 500 only & sell the rest to people like me.

I agree that we should try to get some agreement with other clubs and the PL that we can give clubs smaller allocations if they wish, and they take the money from our ticket sales that fill the extra seats. Works out a win-win situation for everyone, from what I can see...

For the Villa League Cup game - it is a fiver for kids and although I agree £17.50 could come down further it is a clash between two Premier League sides. Also for cup games, both clubs have to agree to the prices so perhaps Villa wanted a slightly higher adult price and this is what it has ended up as.

There was about 25,000 there for the game v Birmingham last season and I would anticipate a similar number, perhaps 30,000 for this one. Also worth remembering that I would imagine a fair few players who need a game under their belts will play so will still be a good side from City.

As for the away ends allocation - I went on a stadium tour last month and was told that the way they allocate now is that they are always given the lower tier and the level 2 is optional for the away club. If they decide they want the away tickets for the level 2, then they have to pay City up front first for them and sell those tickets first, then they have the lower tier tickets go on sale. So far both Southampton and QPR have obviously overestimated the size of their away support going to Eastlands as neither has filled it out. Saints brought about 2000 and QPR about 1200-1500. The full away allocation is 2800.

Agreed. The allocation should go to the opposition naturally, but in the case of teams with a tiny away following (Fulham, Wigan, Blackburn, etc.), they should have the option of giving the tickets they know they won't sell to our supporters, but keeping the gate receipts.

We need away fans. I have always said it when the club start talking about shoving them in the third tier.

Wigan know they aren't going to fill the allocation and give us one of the tiers back every year then city sell them on the cheap or in some kind of promotion. There was a free shirt available with a Wigan ticket a few years back. So I think city would prefer to have the away club buy them all and if they don't sell it's not their problem and they don't lose any money.

They should have to sell the bottom tier first though before putting the second tier up because they always sell the cheaper upper tier out and then there are 2 empty blocks in the bottom tier which any rag will tell you is us not being able to fill our council house.

In my opinion, they're between a rock and a hard place here. The more they drop the tickets in price, the more they'll have to lose on the tickets pre-sold through the Cup Scheme.

I guess they're hedging their bets on it being good weather, and a lot of undecided family fans turning up on the night with their kids.

Unfortunately none as I will be in another country when the game will be played. I didn't mean to blaim any supporters or anything, just wanted to point out it's shame that the tickets were priced at £22 as that will surely put off some fans from going as it's a Tuesday night game, right after league home game too. BiB is probably right re pricing of the tickets but I just don't want to see empty seats out there.
