Ahh fair play. That explains it then! I can see US really coming on in the next 20 years though. I know it seems a long time but its only a few turn-overs of players.

Thats harsh, when our own refs and linesmen dont bloody know!

It's an exclusive club don't you know ;-) we can't be having too many yanks (particularly of the Floridian/ant London/ SOF loving kind spouting perversity on here, football would never get discussed ;-)
CHEERS
I realize you are ranting about that Doomie Guy (who tried to drag me out for pints last night...I refused), but please don't lump all us Floridian blues with him, that boy is one of a kind, and should be isolated from the most of society. Besides he is from Pittsburgh!
Whoa! Wait a minute, nothing wrong with Pittsburgh. I've ran into a couple of city fans here, but they are few and far between. See many Barca shirts and a few ManU, but not too much of anything else.

Or perhaps I'm wrong https://www.google.co.uk/finance?client=ob&q=NYSE:MANU

New supporters is what you get with bit of success. I think we should accept and even cherish that fact. So as far as I'm concerned, welcome all the American blues.
Now where is that topic "Things about American culture I don't understand" I once started?

you're so right. we should be applauding tony p for his extensive market research efforts.
pretty sure the rags recently published a study that showed they were by far and away the best supported club in the world. my guess is that they used someone like tony to gather data for that pile o shite...
ps - tony.... other than market research, what is the purpose of your visit to the us?

Numbers on that study were ridiculous.... I wouldn't questiont he fact that rags probably ARE the most supported (/fancied/liked) club in the world. Only Barcelona probably come even close.

Orlando florida Sunday tho? 2, including my fat ass in a sexy gray training top, and a bloke wearing a shirt from 2 seasons ago. We made bromantic eye contact from across the mall and gave a knowing head nod, which is about as American as it gets. Usually the type of Englishman wearing his City kit abroad in FL breaks out into song upon seeing me, and introduces me to his entire "Hills Have Eyes"-looking family, and tries to invite himself to my house, or invites me to theirs, etc.
alright, i made some of that up, but not all of it!
cheers
