Javi Garcia Should Be Made To Pay For Tickets

Postby King Kev » Sun Sep 23, 2012 5:48 pm

As in the last 2 games he has been a spectator rather than being involved in the match.

Big big improvement needed.

Faded badly in the second half, looked shagged by about 60 mins.

Do you know, that just might work.

Thought he was less than impressive today and not a touch on the man he replaced. Only to be expected though, the pace of our last few games have been frantic and for me he shouldn't be starting.

Thought he digged in. No worse than most of them. Except he's got the excuse that he's still getting used to how we play.

It's hard when you are the new boy. However, 16m for him? I was hoping the sale of NDJ was not a mistake.

Not mobile or quick enough.

We'll have to play 3 in midfield to accomadate him.

Funnily enough, I remember when Yaya first joined he looked knackered and out of after 75 mins. Fitness needs sorting.

I think he's a good player but he's fucking the team up at present. Should play v Villa then be benched whilst we sort out the lack of team organisation.

Get back to last season's players & tactics or forget the league & Champs lg qualification.

Mancini is the weakest link at present.

He was really good at picking up Arsenal players...unfortunately it was usually when we were in possession.

Anonymous other than that! When the opposition have the ball he just seems to mark space

Saw a lot of Garcia at Benfica, he really is a top top player, and will be a huge upgrade on De Jong. Was poor today admittedly, and wasn't great against madrid, but if we give him a chance he'll be really good, so lets not get on his back too soon.

A+ ... I reckon he'll be just fine after 8-10 games whilst bedding in. Another reason why we should buy a tad earlier than deadline day .... [strike]sort it Marwood[/strike]

He wasn't brilliant today, but far better than he was in Madrid.

I think it's a tad much to play him with yaya bombing forward against top teams without a Barry or Rodwell to help out. He's still getting used to the team, lets help him speed up.

Exactly, cracks me up how quick some are to stick the knife in - he was good agasinst stoke - could have bagged a couple in the end. But no lets look at his short comings and wonder how shit he is.

He's been at the club 5mins

We are still unbeaten

Not ideal that we appear to be changing things as regularly as we are and I don't necessarily agree with everything Mancini is doing, but I'm not going to give it the knee jerk reaction either.

We were an unknown quantity this time last season and teams took nearly half the season to work out how to negate our threat we don't have that luxury this season and Mancini is trying to find the formula that will keep us one step ahead (which is why he tried 3 at the back in pre season), evidently he he hasn't cracked it yet, but it will take a bit of time and a bit of tinkering. We need to find the right way forward asap of course, but I reiterate we are unbeaten and are stil very much in touch.

Needs time. A fully fit Gaz Barry would see him eased in but we haven't had that luxury. Let's see how he looks in six months.

Barry or Milner to replace him v Fulham and for some time beyond that.

I think right now bobby is having a tough time accomdating the players he wants in a formation that works. Yaya and Garcia probably aren't a midfield 2. Hell, I don't think Yaya is really a part of any really effective 2 man midfield, he just puts too much forward and not enough back, for the majority of the time. It leaves a lot of space for just garcia lone, as he will stay back.

not absolving garcia for having a poor game, but I think we aren't setting ourselves up for solidarity in the middle of the park at the moment. i think moving forward, a 3 man midfield would be more effective / suit the mids we have a bit better.

Pretty much what Mancini said - we were outnumbered in the middle of the park so brought on Rodwell for Sinclair and we improved. Garcia isn't a shit player as some would have us believe, he's a player without a full pre-season who is playing in a new league - blame who you want for that - patience is required but that seems like a commodity which has long been used up around here!
