Whilst this is probably partly true, I think the sale of De Jong and the constant changing of tactics and personnel are more to blame.

Exactly Kevin
Making our transfer moves late and then throwing Maicon and Garcia in at the deep end isnt looking very helpful at the moment either.
We won the lague last season by playing a settled team and tactics for the last 6 games and not relying on hot and cold players like Balotelli, Dzeko, Johnson, and Kolorov.
The blame for our slow start to the season lies in between circumstance and the manager for me.

We got back into the title race when he was bench Palus.
His best role is supersub, QPR and the Bernabau

Currently he is on form and in a hot patch, but he's equally as likely to have a crap game next time out. You don't need to get so defensive when someone makes a perfectly valid point. Other players are playing poorly at the moment granted and some of them aren't getting the same level of stick as others would do. But don't jump down people's throats as soon as someone makes a balanced judgement of dzeko. Cracking player, a bit streaky, but doing well at the moment. MOTM for me today.

Silva is shit from start of season so is Vinny so is Lescot is that hot and cold and valid point i m defensiv only when he play good game and sombody is not pleasd ,we need to bench him ,why the fuck we need to do that ,i m sure if he did not go out today we would win the fuckin game .So get a fuck out of my neck with that boring story over and over again he score 3 goals he olay good and he still isint good enough for u well fuck it who are u to to say who is hot and who is cold.
pepsi_dave wrote:I'm not slagging him off, cool your jets fella. He's a good player I like him and think that given a run of games he'll score a load of goals. Today he was good, in fact all season he's been looking good
But look at last season, one game he'd be brilliant, and the next he'd be dog turd..... Don't take it Personally that's just the way he has been at city. Lescott and kompany were consistently good last season perhaps with the odd unfortunate error. I agree that silva has been poor all season, but he was one of our best players consistently last season.
He hasn't scored 37 goals in a season for city so I think that's a moot point. Today I think he should have stayed on the pitch, and silva should have gone off instead.
But even you as a big fan of him can see that for all the games he plays well there is another game where he has a touch that is shocking and can't hit a barn door with a banjo. That's just the type of player he is, he's a confidence player, the standing ovation he got today would give him confidence, I just hope Mancini keeps faith in him next game.
You are right that other players have been playing badly but haven't had the same level o stick.
People have made valid points about dzeko in this thread, I know e gets a lot of stick on here some justified and some not, but please don't get defensive and stroppy for people saying he's hot and cold.... Since at city he has been hot an cold, this season may be the one that changes that.... Who knows.
halnone wrote:the commentators said something today about how we haven't had the same back 4 in any of our games yet. That's definitely part of the problem, and it has to be blamed on Mancini.
Also, we only used a back 3 in all of pre season, so it's no wonder that when we suddenly start using a back 4 again it looks a little shaky. Again, this is down to Mancini.

Its not worth debating Dzeko with you
You love him
I'm not keen
Let's move on, what do you think about Kolarov?
