I also wonder is there no advantage given in a penalty situation. What I mean is that Kun tried to play on but there was clear foul on him (not once but twice) so why no penalty ?

staying on his feet vs QPR a couple months back made all the difference in the world. I commend him for always considering a shot on target more important than guessing whether the ref will award him a penalty.
cheers

I thought of that one Doomie but today's was somewhat different. A clear foul and he was too unbalanced to take the shot. Take a tumble and Dean would've had no choice but to point to the spot.

you don't know that you can't take the shot until you can't take the shot. He thought he could stay on his feet and get a touch. You don't know you're wrong until the moment has passed. I support his decisions to stay on his feet as much as he can.
cheers

It says a lot about his self belief, he thinks if he gets a shot away he is going to score, so he'd rather get his shot away instead of doing an 'ashley young'

Meant to quote this btw ha!

Doesn't happen of course, so I don't blame forwards for taking a tumble if a defender fouls them. If referees would do there job properly there would be the need to dive and dives would be easier to police.
kinkylola wrote:refs job to call that penalty. The excuse of "playing advantage" is bullshit because aguero impeded by that tackle to the point where anything he did afterwards would be affected. To me that negates any sense of playing on, because arsenal have gained an advantage. It's not like a foul in midfield where the ball rolls to another player on the same team and attack continues.
That is a nailed on penalty and it is total bullshit that it wasn't given. Fucking poor ref.

This was nowhere near an Ashley 'gust of wind and I'm all over it' young. Just seen it again on MOTD and is a nailed on pen, he should of gone down as the angle had been made tougher by the challenge
All credit to him as he took quite a knock to be fair but if he goes down and makes it 2-0 is a different ball game
