Can Gillie apply for the job as chief bridesmaid...He's good at interviews.

No shirt lifting here pal, just the luv for the brother ;-)

As for Gillie, I'm amazed he's pulled himself away from the HD, that brilliant Blue is something else.

If City were playing as well as they did at the start and end of last season, if the defending wasn't so bad, if Silva had his magic touch back, if there was any consistency in the line-ups, people wouldn't be whining like this because then whatever other teams including that one did, City would be stretching a lead at the top of the league by now. They reason they're not is that they don't deserve to be.

I thought you'd got a full shabang HD 42 inch top of the range HD TV that you'd fell in love with and couldn't tear yourself away?

I may have been wrong. Sorry.

To be fair, and probably answers STCs question, this is not how it works. Regardless of where we are the game should be played on a level playing field with no undue practice from the ref. The officials are there to ensure arbitration during the 90 or so minutes, not there to favour one team or the other. The media as well, are there to report the game that is/has been played, not the game that they want to portray in favour of a certain team.

So, for me, I wouldn't want to see a Blue bias or any other bias, I just want to see or hear about a teams true exploits, not some misted view that goes against everything I've just witnessed. I don't want someone licking are arse because they may get a few brownie points, I want them to have the integrity to do what is right.

We get beat, we get beat, that's the way it's always been. Now though, it seems more and more that the referee have a hand in what goes on in those 90 minutes, usually in favour of a certain team. We just want to talk about the game.

Is that too much to ask?

Lost in translation somewhere there I think gillie.

There was a thread a few weeks back about someone buying a HD tv and being overjoyed with it. Think he thought it was you and wasn't saying your an armchair fan as you seem to have took it that way.

It's so bent I'm not surprised by anything anymore. As some have already said we all knew the story but it was never as much of an issue until we were seriously challenging.Last season was a serious eye opener.I would lay money that they will have had more penalty decisions by the end of October than we will in the course of the whole season.

Bloody hell pal, I wasn't having a pop at you I was just under the impression that you'd got a new telly and I was trying to be funny (that'll fucking learn me). I knew about your predicament as well (never read OT, just what you'd put on here) mate so would never try and put another man down, especially as I'm not getting the use of my SC this season.

Anyway, I see you need a bigger City hug than Bear so a great big Beefster one to you young man, you became my best bud that day with the ticket mate. John let me down though, he was too busy ferrying people to the match in his Big Blue Cab. Cheers John!

Edit: As Ashton said. Luv ya man.

All the media bias, the extra extra time if we need it; basically 90% of all the important decisions go our way? What if it was us getting everything in our favour because so many people in positions to influence are City fans? Would you give a shit or would you lap it up and say 'yes please, more please, kiss our blue arses thankyou very much?'
Just asking, like.

I know what your saying mate and I am not denying that we sometimes get decisions going our way , I dont know the statistics but it always seems more favourable to them maybe it evens it self out over the season it really pissed me off yesterday though listening to the game on the radio Liverpool were definately on top of the and these decisions changed it in rags favour , I was pig sick about it as I was waliking over to the Etihad.

No, no, you misunderstood me slightly. What I was saying in response was in total agreement with Beefy - the bias towards the scum in the media and on the pitch from most referees and officials is clear for all fans (not just ours) to see, and it is painful to take (one of the reasons I love snooker, where players actually call fouls on themselves when the referee doesn't spot them.)

The bias is there because there are alot of rag supporters in those positions - you can hear it with certain commentators, for example - certainly in the media, and every little boy (or girl) grows up supporting one club or another, so alot of officials are bound to have a leaning..
But, what if it was us getting all that unfair bias. Would you care? Or would you say "yes, we know, we're City, fuck you?" or "what bias?" with a wry smile.
That's what I was asking.

Don't think it'll matter in the end as we'll still win the league.

Ah sorry ,well in answer to your question I can honestly say that if it was us getting advantageous decisions all the time then I would be embarrased by it , because I like the game to be played fair not like most of the rag idiots I know who are forever shouting their mouths off about how fanastic they are and how they are going to win everything , when you approach them on the subject of decisions going their way most of them will tell you it was the correct decision . I have give up argueing with them anyway because you can't argue with idiots.

Yep, they are totally blinkered.
The reason the Rags get all the decisions is the refs are all still shit-feared of upsetting Bacon Face. If he doesn't like you he has you relegated to reffing in the Championship

This. Very much this. I don't see it happening any time soon though.

All we need is one good win to set us off, both the fans and the team. It might come tonight.

Watching lots of Olympic sports has also affected my feelings for the game at the moment.

Its partly because the emotions involved in being a City fan, winning the league how we did and the weekly scum bullshit but football is actually a pretty wank sport at the moment.

Fucking Hockey was more watchable.

Highlight of the season was actually watching Johnjo Shelvey give Fergie some proper shit on his way past. Might have taken 6 months off the fuckers heart.
