Kanchelskis is also Ukrainian so if the answer is accurate Luzhny should be out. Kanchelskis played for Russia but he is Ukrainian by nationality & the question asks about country, not which team they represented.

Zhirkov however, is actually Russian. Are there any other proper Russians to win the Prem ? If not Zhirkov should be on the list. This could be one of those sneaky type things.

Off Wikipedia. He has Russian nationality, just born in Ukraine. On the list Goaters posted he's listed as Russian as well. So are Zhirkov & Smertin.

It's 11 with Kompany included.

Apparently Kompany isn't one but I cant think of any other belgian who has won the premier league.
