Capital One Cup - 4th Round Draw

Capital One Cup ... 4th Round Draw ... coming up ... very excited ... oh, wait!

Anyway, we're not in it but here's the draw that just took place ...

Sunderland v Middlesbrough
Swindon v Aston Villa
Wigan v Bradford
Leeds v Southampton
Norwich v Tottenham
Liverpool v Swansea
Chelsea v Manchester United
Reading v Arsenal

So we'll now have a full week off between Swansea at home and West Ham away ... while Chelsea will host Man United twice in that week, first for the Premier League week 9 game, then mid week Capital One Cup, and scum's week 10 game is Arsenal at home ... so we better fucking get ahead of these two by 10th game now that we were not in this draw ...

Let's start with Fulham this weekend!

Yeah, but it really is an excuse to feel a little better, that's all ... I still we'd rather be in the cup too, I like watching City play every three days :)

Last year I was disappointed with the semi final showing, becuse having got there, & playing those cheating scouse wankers, I wanted to win, but that game, plus the FA Cup game v the rags, did much more damage to our title chances than Yaya being in Africa imo. Those games, against teams & referees keen to do us over, almost cost us everything.

If we'd had a fully fit squad & had signed Hazard & DeRossi, I'd be happy to put a full strength team out in every competition now but this season, I think getting out of the League Cup is a fucking good move & I can't understand all the bollocks about Tuesday's game. I bought a ticket & walked from Piccadilly in the pissing rain but I didn't give a flying fuck about beating Villa, just went to watch the kids play. Mancini was well within his rights to experiment imo.

If we're still in the Chumps Lg come Jan, I don't care if he fucks the FA Cup off as well if some of the squad needs a rest. We can sign a few players next season then go for all 4.

I'm still really pissed off about Tuesday's exit and I'll be even more pissed off if we fart about in the greatest cup competition in football. We are blessed with a superb set of players and should be more that able to cope with an extra 6 games

Cant help but look at that draw and think we would have been in the 5th round easy with one of the Chelsea or Scum knocked out.

I'm with you on this mate, feeling robbed of a game during my ten day stay in the UK. I'm desperate for West Ham away's.
I think Mancini's worst side is his "need recover", impossible to play every three day","tired". When players hear that on a daily basis they might adopt that.

This is true. My point was based around the understanding that we DO NOT FUCK ABOUT WITH THE TEAM. But I think that's too much to ask for at the moment in all honesty...

Does anyone seriously think we'd have drawn Swindon?

Despite not being at our best so far this season I think we would certainly be able to draw with Swindon

i agree with this.

if however he doesn't get through the group of death and fucks off the FA Cup, and is sitting out of striking distance from the top of the table then questions have to be asked imho.

questions...asked.

cheers

Amazing how some are willing to just fuck off the FA cup, comes across as very arrogant tbh althou I'm sure you don't mean to be. Each to their own but I really don't understand how a football fan can say that about the FA Cup, baffling stuff really

Fully agree with that mate, we are already out of one cup and lets face it, our cabinet isn't very well stocked now is it! We should be in for EVERYTHING, all the pundits do is go on about our strength in depth and the cost of our bench, yet we still LOSE to fucking Villa!

Something is wrong this season, lets hope its sorted come Saturday ;-)

Well annoyed about the draw, Swindon would have been a new ground to go to!

Worst part is Vila will lose there too.

Choice between the prem or CL or FA cup I choose the prem 500 times out of 10. Going off what we have managed so far I doubt we have anything close to chance at the prem or CL so another FA cup will do nicely. I quite fancy a trip to wembley next summer with the lad.
