He has done really well to mould Graham Carr's squad.

Nah...QPR will hold onto their young manager. His teams are always better in the second half of the season.

Well done Newcastle. Nice to see some long term planning by them. Of course it's brilliant for Pardew to have such long term security.

He'll be sacked within 6 months knowing the Geordies. ;-)

Interesting & fairly ridiculous decision. Newcastle have looked like they are ready to slide back into relegation mode in the games I've seen. If that happens, there is the prospect of a long & miserable war between fans & board (again).

Only time will tell but conracts are not going to keep pardew there if someone bigger cones knocking, nor will it stop fatman ashley from sacking pardew. Stupid contract length, just means ashley pays more compo to pardew when he sacks him. Very strange decision seeming that ashley is supposed to be savvy

He has done a good job there, but their owner is a lunatic so we can't say for sure what this new contract is all about.

But still, did Chris Hughton create this squad they have now or Pardew can claim it?

Carr had a big part, yes, i can't deny that. But still, the manager does what he does with the players. Just look at Ben Arfa, he was on a downfall before that incident with Nige, then after his injury became world class again.
