Joking apart, it was actually Mancini bringing on Dzeko that proved to me he didn't give a fuck. Barry was like an asthmatic tortoise by then, the defence was playig like shit but we were regularly creating chances & looking like scoring. The last thing the team needed was another centre forward.

Mancini brought on Dzeko hoping that either we would score, or, due to the fact that we had no midfield & no defence; Villa would score & we wouldn't go into extra time. It didn't work.

Exactly what I said at the time. He cared more about not having to go through extra time than about winning and/or resting players who don't seem to feature in his plans for a starting XI in the near future.

Nobody is diseponted because we drop from this cup just in way we did , at list i think so and because our defense was terrible as no mather how is set

I am very disapointed we are out of the League Cup We have been blessed with probably the best owners in the world Who have given us the where with all to assemble one of the best squads in the world , We should be able to put out a great team no matter what the match Is . red shite 1 red shite 2 arse chavs and spuds all in the hat for the next round and we get knocked out and 4 shoved up us at home Ime very fucking disapointed .

Terrible. Nastasic like a rabbit in headlights after 60 mins, Balotelli too far wide because the youngsters had no confidence in themselves, Barry looked like he'd smoked 40 Drinas, Pantillimon made me wonder if we could tempt John Burridge out of retirement, no cohesion between Tevez and Balotelli, possibly because of where the latter was forced to play, Sinclair ineffective, but did seem to be carrying some kind of injury - I was surprised Mancini brought him on, Milner worked really hard, and seemed to cover a few frailties of the defence, but couldn't get much going on in forward play, possibly because of the rest of the team he was out there with, Dzeko wasn't too bad, but nothing was coming to him and if he had tried to make something himself by pulling back then I think the midfield creche would have fallen to pieces, and Kolo Toure looked like a triallist. Anyone I've not mentioned managed to keep their head down, which isn't exactly the trait that should be giving you a place in the starting XI of a quarter-billion pound squad.

Why do you have to take everybody on Palus? Is it important that you have to have the last word? You make some good points at times but they get lost in your battles around it ... I suggest stick to your opinions on football, City and Dzeko (sure, why not) and less tangling in these back and forth over whether someone's pulling your leg or not ...

BTW, since this is my first response to you directly, I have to give my opinion on Dzeko. His first touch is shit but still I rate him better than Balo any day. Aguero and Tevez remain ahead of him in my pecking order, although there would be games where the three can play together, but Dzeko's best role is coming on as an impact sub. He has always come on and scored some very important goals for us, QPR 3-2, S'ton 3-2, Real Madrid first goal ...

Erm Barry was injured, didn't have a pre season, is finding match sharpness again. Milner, I can't explain, just like I couldn't in the second half of last season.
