Qpr

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Qpr

Postby Luke11993 » Tue Oct 02, 2012 7:52 am

It may have been mentioned before but watching qpr last night apart from a couple they really are a team built on rejects, I can see them going down this year, Hughes done the same with us with most off his signings and he's doing the same with them, was quite funny just seeing the squad and most being rejects.

You know nothing about football!! Don't you know he is the brightest British managerial talent? If only so called big clubs would give him a chance and not employ foreigners who have never won anything. And his teams play better after Christmas so it's ridiculous to expect him to win games in October. And he knows the transfer market like no other so it's ridiculous to expect him to win games when he hasn't been able to get HIS players in. Lick lick.

So Zabba, Barry, Lescott, Kompany, Tevez, De Jong were rejects. Ok.

Amazing how they got away with winning the title.

I just wish he had come in for a few of the bombs he dropped on us.Surely we would have offloaded the likes of Roque and Bridge his way for a pittance if even the slightest hint of an enquiry had been made.

I started a thread during the summer on the way he was assembling a squad at qpr, it has disaster written all over it.

Name the dozen or more of these that you think were 'rejects' when we signed them.

Gareth Barry
Roque Santa Cruz
Gunnar Nielsen
Stuart Taylor
Carlos Tevez
Emmanuel Adebayor
Kolo Toure
Sylvinho
Joleon Lescott
Patrick Vieira
Adam Johnson
Jo
Tal Ben-Haim
Vincent Kompany
Shaun Wright Phillips
Leandro Glauber
Pablo Zabaleta
Robinho
Wayne Bridge
Craig Bellamy
Nigel De Jong
Shay Given

Ben-Haim, Berti, Jo and possibly Sylvinho are all I can see there. Maybe Vieira, too. 3 free transfers (one of whom proved to be a crucial signing, another just a 'chum' for our other Brazilians), one at 5 million, and one which was so obviously a front for Frank's money laundering I'm amazed it wasn't investigated by the Premier League.

Some of his players were overpriced, yes, but I believe most managers would have been held to ransom at that point in our progression. The only transfer there I realy, really blame Hughes for is Santa Cruz. I think Bridge let himself/us down.

I consider de Jong and lescott as not as such rejects but players who aren't good enough, so your telling me Hughes would have got us the title? No way! Qpr will go down this year and if they don't they need a miracle worker to save them, and mate I no plenty about football ta.

So de Jong is that good he was on the bench most off last season then gets sold, and lescott gets dropped for a 19 year old? And makes many cock ups each game? Pure quality that.

What a fucking thick headed post. Lescott was our 1st choice partner for Vinny all last season & played a blinder. Nige was a key member of our Champion squad & both were key members of the side who won the fucking FA Cup, beating the scum in the semi, the season before.

What an absolutely sickening lack of respect for two guys who would both be legends if they had played under Joe Mercer.

I honestly think some of you fucking people don't deserve this team, you really fucking don't.

Lescott has been part of the best defence in the prem for the past two years...FACT. Im not sure what is going on with him at the moment and i dont agree with him being dropped. IMO Kompany has been the one out of form of the two. As for De Jong, he was an intergral player at City and played a huge part in us wining the FA Cup and the premier league. Im shocked that you see fit down play the role both have played in our success.

QPR will be fine. Hughes teams always come good in the second half of the season. So whoever's in charge of them after Christmas will have a good chance of keeping them up.

Coming from someone who doesn't even support one club.

Easy to understand why you would have no fucking idea what I'm talking about.

What so I've not been brought up to support city from a baby cause off parents then? I never new havin an OPIONION could be such a crime then all the 'experts' come in and make out I'm wrong? It's my opionion never new it was a crime. Everyone has there view and this was mine but clearly I'm not entitled to a view on anything. But I guarantee when lescott cocked up last game last season and they scored u all swore about him!

Indeed.

Hardly makes his other excellent performances irrelevant though. We are talking absolute key players here, who are very much part of what City have become. Whatever they do in the future, they are City legends, who have earned their place in history.
