Touch on it from defender.
We are guilty of watching / following the ball like kids do. In one instance we have 3 round one player then nobody on another.

Its fair to say that both teams are lucky not to concede... But somehow I feel that they were closer to goal, I dont know.

Nevertheless, we have to tighten up in the back, be little more quicker with long passes (late pass means offside automatically), and also, a few crosses from Zaba and Clichy wouldnt hurt.

Endless passing between our backs makes me nervous.. send the ball upfront, attack FFS.

Weve played some good football and then looked shit at the back, hart saved us. I can't for the life of me see what rodwell does so its like we have 10 men, he did fuck all for that chance near the end when Joe saved us.

In my opinion we should replace either Silva or Nasri against Milner and move Yaya up, as always. This is indeed a midfield game and we're losing it.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Quite a strange first half. I thought that Dortmund looked more at home than us in the first 15 and got as many chances as us. Joe Hart is the MotM already so I won't bother later.

Teams have sussed us out and Mancini needs to change our style a little. They are pressuring us high up the pitch and not allowing Yaya et al to have the midfield, where we usually control from the centre circle. It's good to see we are getting a few balls over the top but as Dzeko makes the run we're taking a second look before trying to put him through leading to an offside decision.

Quicker play is what's needed, just like Dortmund are doing. Yaya needs to take control and bat some of their players off. Without him controlling the game on the half is leading us to not put enough pressure up top; there's too much of a space and not enough players getting up with play.

We've had chances, let's start taking them.

Joe, you're a god send.

YOU cant need 10 glorious chance every big games, the opposition is often great as well at our level!!!

This is spot on and part of the reason the defence are so fucking shaky.

This really sums it up nicely.
Now lets hope we convert our next chance, which will happen as long as we push the ball faster upfront.

Quite a game, city need to determine how to keep a discipline, no doubt that Dortmund are good at pulling teams around by doubling up when attacking. We are getting caught out and pulled. we need to hold a shape and respond to the doubling up with just one player coming to help. Apart from that Yaya is not yet at the races and Rodwell looks a bit lost so far.
Strange to say it but we are missing a Barry.

If we take the chances on offer we will get a result, otherwise we are living dangerously.
