This group is tougher than last years. Said before the game that Mancini and the players looked like they were asking for a kick up the arse, well they got it and watching the post match interviews I think Mancini got the message. Souness of all people said that he thought Mancini was trying to run before he could walk, well that puts it quite well. This team can walk but not so well that they can just do whatever is asked at the drop of a hat.

A bit like the Prem last season when they got a kick up the arse for being complacent they have had another, it isn't too late to save a qualification, but we will have to go back to basics and look to grind out results at Ajax and Dortmund and at home to Real and Ajax. I fully believe this team can do that. Now they have given themselves pretty much no option. We will see a response to this in the CL of that I have no doubts.

I'm baffled that we are so shit in Europe.

Nowt to do with wanting him out, but Jesus Christ bobby, you've one of the best squads in the world, sort it out.

Why is he so arrogant to think he can play 3 or 4 systems per match. With our squad he should have a reliable plan A and a gung ho plan B. he's trying to look like a tactical genius and is looking like a blundering fool,

To the fans yes. And Rodwell.

Where else are we lacking in CL experience? Mancini? Kidd? Nasri? Clichy? Yaya? Tevez? Mario? Plus all the City players who played in it last season or have been in the Europa League previously.

Mancini has now managed 50 games in the CL which must make him one of the more experienced ones. Certainly more experienced that di matteo, for instance. To date, he has consistently proven himself out of his depth at the CL. I sincerely hope he gets it right this season, but I've seen little evidence of it.

Added to that, our league performances are way below what we were achieving throughout most of last season. I think asking what the problem is is perfectly reasonable.

Yes this is a tough group, but the club aspires to be one of the best teams in Europe who should do better than what we saw. I know people will get offended and some will try to insult and make ridicule of my view but i do not believe that mancini will ever deliver at champions league level. Not on what we saw last season or in the two CL games so far. I do hope i am wrong.

You have to be patient, in two seasons he's delivered and F.A. Cup and a League trophy. I would suggest he has earned some more time.

But feel free to vent, last night was embarressing.
